I just got back from a crazy trip with the fam to Venice Beach…

Ya know, where Aaaanold used to workout during the Mr. Olympia years.

If you haven’t had a chance yet, get down their and check out the scene…

So Today I want to let you in on a few things…

First, I want to THANK EVERYONE for their support.

I just finished my six week body transformation… I dropped 17 LBS, feel incredible and am ready to keep the progress going (for life)

Special thanks to my BFF Bedros, Lisa Maloy and Justin “The Boot Camp Dominator” Blum

Next, here’s something you can do right now for free to get 10-30 new clients depending on how big your contact list is.

It’s really simple but you have to close the lap top and pick up your cell phone.

Call ALL your past clients and prospects and say this:

“Hey it’s (name) and I was calling to see how your fitness goals are going”

Oh, not so good, well what are you doing to make it work”

“Hmmm, I think I have the perfect solution for you… I’m starting a 6 week body transformation program and that I’ve discounted to $249 for the whole six weeks…”

“I have a few spots left, do you want in?”

Blah, blah, blah.

(This works so good because past clients and prospects can easily picture doing something that will create a dramatic change for just six weeks.

So lets do the math…

If you have 100 contact (past clients/prospects) and you get 3 out of every ten to say yes, that is 30 sign-ups…

If you convert half of those into regular clients… That’s 15 new clients.

So for ever 100 calls, you should get 15 new clients.

Gosh, if you have 200 contact, you should expect 30 new clients…

Pretty simple right?

Well, you’d be surprised how the “simple” fitness marketing stuff works like crazy!

Ok, and finally, just in case you missed them, I did some MUST SEE interviews with 3 of my coaching clients using a powerful marketing strategy that I call “Boot Camp Formula 5″

See ALL the VIDEOS HERE

Let me know what you think… Your comments are like little hugs and I didn’t get a lot of hugs as a kid.

Bedros and I just accepted 95 more of the most DOMINATING Fit Body Boot Camp owners and territories I’ve ever seen.

While all this was going on, I went on a five city tour to visit some of my top coaching clients in Texas, Delaware, New York and New Jersey.

It was an insane 4 day trip that included planes, trains, rental cars and taxis…

…And AWESOME interviews where my top coaching clients “spill the beans” about EXACTLY what they are doing to DOMINATE in their areas.

More on that in a minute…

Right now I want to thank and show my heart felt APPRECIATION for the people and things in my life that TOTALLY ROCK!

First, I want to thank my two girls Kayla and Riley.

I know they have no idea how happy they make me.

No matter what’s going on, what inner battles I’m fighting, or what anyone thinks about me…

There they are, running to me with there arms open and huge smiles on their faces as they jump in my arms and say, “DADDY, DADDY, DADDY!”

Their little hugs cause all my emotional scars from the day to heal and recharge me in a way that only they can…

I’m grateful for my BBBBFF (best best best best friend forever) Bedros

until I met Bedros, I never had a best friend before.

I sort of just did my own thing.

But Bedros is like the brother I never had.

He’s the funniest, smartest, coolest, wisest, most fun dudes I’ve ever met.

And how cool is it that we are also business partners.

Oh, and yes, some people joke like we are “more than friends” cuz we are so close… And guess what, I don’t care, I wouldn’t change a thing… And if I was the kind of guy that went out with dudes, I would definitely go out with Bedros cuz he’s one good looking mofo…

So thank you Bedros

Speaking about not going out with dudes… I want to thank my wife Sy.

She loved me even when I was a pizza delivery dude.

And she believed in me so much, that she made me feel like I could do anything I dreamed of…

And that’s exactly what I’ve been doing ever since.

Having the right spouse in your like makes such a difference.

So thank you Sy… I love you.

I appreciate all our amazing Fit Body Boot Camp owners

I didn’t have a very close family growing up.

Fit Body Boot Camp feels like the big positive and loving family I never had.

I new Bedros and I were creating something special… And I knew it was the most powerful boot camp business model in the world…

But I never thought it would feel like a real family.

So thank you Fit Body Boot Camp.

I want to thank Apple

Apple products like my iphone and my mac make my like better.

They just get it.

It’s like the dudes at apple are just smarter and cooler than everyone else.

At least once a day I say to myself, :I love my iphone.”

So thanks Apple… You rock.

My business associate Sylvia

Much like apple, she is cool, smart and intuitive…

And she definitely makes my life WAY easier by doing all the business stuff that I absolutely hate doing.

For me, fitness marketing and helping Fit Body Boot Camp owners and my coaching clients is where it’s at.

That’s what I LOVE and am the most PASSIONATE about.

Sylvia does all the other stuff so I can focus on what I love…

So thank you Sylvia.

I am grateful for my Corvette

Ok, I’m sure your saying, “Dude, that’s so lame.”

But if you are, then you’ve never owned a Vett.

Let’s face it, sometimes we all have to do some things that are boring, but when you can get there in your Vett, somehow it becomes more fun.

I love driving it so much, it even helps me get all my workouts in, cuz it’s an excuse to drive…

I HIGHLY recommend that you buy a car that you LOVE.

Just get it… Trust me.

Ok, I’m like a little kid and proud of it

I’m grateful for my dog Plato (Pronounced Play-doe)

He never judges me, is always happy to see me and has taught me a huge life lesson.

Ya see dogs don’t ever worry about anything.

They are always fully “in the moment”

They don’t hold grudges either.

I don’t know if this sounds weird, but if I’m stressed, I hug my dog and I feel better.

Hey, don;t judge me… My dog never does.

My assistant Ariel

I’m still not sure if she likes me or not…

It always seems like she’s irritated or annoyed at me.

But, I can;t really blame her, I can be pretty hard to handle.

The bottom line is that she friggin ROCKS and is the BEST assistant I’ve ever had.

She GETS THINGS DONE.

So consistent and so reliable.

Thank you Ariel, you definitely improve my life!

I am grateful that I have the freedom to travel

It’s so cool to be able to generate income ANYWHERE as long as I have an internet connection, my Mac and my iphone.

I mean, sometimes, I happen to generate the most revenue while I’m traveling or on vacation.

I never used to have that freedom when it was just ME training my clients…

It’s definitely different then when I used to travel and know that my income stopped while I was away.

Having a business is whole lot better than owning a job.

I appreciate my coaching clients

Someone once asked me what I would do if I did not need to make money….

And my answer was help fitness professionals grow their business, have an amazing lifestyle and earn what they are really worth.

That’s my passion, that’s what I love, and that’s what I do.

There are not too many people who can say they absolutely love what they do.

So thank YOU coaching clients, for making my life ROCK!

And I appreciate YOU, the Fit Pros who follow this blog

When I get a random email, or talk to a trainer who tells me that reading my blog has changed their life, or exploded their business or made it so their spouse could quit their job, it makes my feel AMAZING and more inspired that I can express with words.

So thank YOU… From the bottom of my heart.

And to say thanks, I’m going to share an interview I did with PFP mag editor Shelby Murphy.

In this video she details the step-by-step formula she used to get OTHER trainers to train her clients all while practically doubling her business.

Now she has the time to live and peruse her dream and passion of writing a book, and spending time with her family

Check it out

By now you’ve probably heard all the buzz about the Fit Body Boot Camp business model from everyone who’s anyone in the industry.

And I don’t blame you if you’re a little skeptical.

I mean I would be too… I mean it sounds a little too good.

So don’t take my or Bedros’s word for it… Watch this UNSOLICITED video from Fit Body Boot Camp owner Justin Blum.

I’ve never seen such a genuine heart felt video before.

It really moves me that we have such a tight Fit Body Boot Camp family.

And I think that the biggest reason is that we don’t just hand you over a bunch of done-for-you marketing and business systems and then say see ya later…

Instead I think what makes this business model so powerful is that Bedros and I coach you every step of the way.

Now don’t get me wrong, you are going to have to work hard, but everything you need, including us, will be there for you… EVERY step of the way.

An opportunity like this doesn’t come around all the time, and if you miss out, then you REALLY miss out.

So listen to your gut, and if it’s telling you to get on board, then apply to see if a territory in your area is still available.

Apply for your territory here

And if your territory is still available, then make the smart choice and get on board Fit Body Boot Camp…

Right now go to www.MyFitBodyBootCamp.com to secure your territory and be on pace for a six or multiple six-figure boot camp income.

She read all of the books in like 2 days which is pretty hard for a guy like me with off the charts A.D.D. to do without feeling like my heads gonna explode ha!

Anyways, I love vampire movies, I think they’re badass.

I think it would be so cool to be a Vampire (I never said I didn’t have issues

Btw… Do you watch “True Blood” on HBO?

I LOVE that show…

So I wanted to share these 10 boot camp business building blocks with you because so many trainers forget to do this stuff.

I practically beat these building blocks into my coaching clients.

1. Systematize And Use Proven Systems – Don’t just “teach” boot camp. Make either use a model that already had proven systems in place like Fit Body Boot Camp, or create your own systems.

The important thing is, that you USE SYSTEMS for everything from taking sales, to running promotions, to following up on prospects.

2. Tell People What You’re gonna Do, Then DO IT! – 21 days ago when I decided I was gonna get my lean body back, I made it public on my blog and Facebook.

The support has been amazing and every time I feel like cheating, I just think about all the people who are watching my progress.

So make sure you have friends and mentors in your life that you can tell what you are going to do to help hold yourself accountable.

BTW – Here is a pic of my on day 21 out of 45
(See below)

3. Get A Mentor – It doesn’t matter if you’re a fitness professional or a professional athlete, you will always reach your goals way faster with a mentor who has already done what you are trying to do.

4. Know your goals – Don’t be a “wondering generality”, be a “meaningful specific”
It’s really hard to get want you want outta life if you don’t know exactly what you want.

5. Know Your Dream – When the going gets tuff, knowing your dream will give you the strength and motivation to keep pushing…

6. Use A White Board - A white board is one of the cheapest and most powerful tools for staying focused on your goals and knowing the status of your business.

7. The 5% Rule – Make sure you focus 95% of your time on the 5% of the high impact activities that GROW YOUR BUSINESS.

Outsource the rest.

Here’s is an example… Getting your lead boxes in 20 business is in your 5%… Driving to each location several times a week to collect your leads is NOT in your 5% and should be delegated to someone else.

8. Hire An Assistant – Trust me. you will be able to grow your business so much faster if you hire an assistant to do everything that is not in your 5%.

9. Think “Duplicate And Automate” – As you grow your business remember that you’re not going to want to teach it forever… Like when your 60 years old.

So make sure your business lends itself to “duplication and automation”

10. Get out of your comfort zone – What ever you want in life, the door you have to walk through is the one market “DISCOMFORT”

It is impossible to greatly improve your status in life, and live your dreams without getting out of your comfort zone…

So suck it up, it wont kill ya.

Follow my 10 boot camp building blocks and you’ll be amazed how powerful your boot camp becomes….

I’d love to hear your comments below.

Heeey – Steve here.

One of our Fit Body Boot Camp owners in Illinois named Dustin Martorano, just sent me an email with a darn good “out-of-thebox” boot camp marketing idea.

(Our Fit Body Boot Camp owners are always pushing the envelope… I love it)

Here is the email…

“Hey Steve, I came up with an idea of how us trainers can get daycare for FREE and blow up our businesses all at the same time. I attached a word document with details. Let me know what you think”

And here’s the blueprint for his “Day Care Optimizer” strategy.

FREE-4-U Day Care Optimizer

Why should you have day care available?

It’s simple really.

How many times have you had a prospect completely sold up to the minute they ask about day care?

Do you recall how crappy it felt to lose a client because they didn’t have a baby sitter?

I can’t tell you how many prospects have slipped through my fingers for that very reason. I’m here to tell you that it doesn’t have to be that way.

I’ve figured out a way to get local day care centers to practically beg you to send your clients there allowing you to never have to deal with the “I have no-one to watch my kids” objection ever again.

And the process is simple really.

First you make a list of all the local private day care centers or babysitters within a five my radius from your training location (stick to family owned places with multiple employees).

Next, get in contact with each of the owners and let them know you’re looking for the perfect place to refer your clients to.

Tell them you’d like to send tons of business their way simply by making them the preferred child care specialists of your specific training business.

Then, conduct a short interview process.

Ask them questions regarding their experience level and also that of their employees.

Let them know that you don’t take yours clients safety lightly and that a thorough interview process is necessary.

Finally, ask each owner what they think would be a fair price to charge your clients to drop their child/children off for an hour and a half every time they were scheduled to train with you.

Be sure to explain to them the benefits of partnering with you such as increased traffic to their business, added emails to their subscriber list and of course added revenue.

Once you’ve gotten quotes from 10 or more local day care centers /babysitters, take a day or so to review the all the answers you’ve gotten through the interview process.

Be sure to factor in the vibe you got from each of the owners, compare their locations, contact lists and finally their prices.

After you’ve done this your list should be down to about 3 to 4 serious contenders.

At this time setup a second in-person interview and a tour of each of their respective facilities.

At this point you should be able to narrow the list down again to about 1-2 finalists.

And at this stage of the process either of the finalists will likely be a good fit for your business so simply make a choice between the two.

Upon making your final decision ask the day care center you’ve chosen to send out an email blast to their list announcing their partnership with you.

Be sure to compose this email yourself and don’t try to sell boot camp/training off the email.

Instead use the email to introduce yourself and extend an invitation for their clients and prospects to come try your boot camp/group training program free for two weeks but only for a limited time.

If doing a mailing insert a gift card into each envelope and compose the letter in a manner that makes it appear handwritten.

(I’m sure there’s software capable of this)

Last but not least offer to train the owner and staff of the day care center for free in exchange for referrals.

This is simply another way you can tap into their network.

As you can see by utilizing my “FREE-4-You Day Care Optimizer” you can easily solve your child care issues completely free, all while adding a new stream of training leads to your ever expanding fitness business.

So there you have it….

Two lessons from your friend Steve Hochman.

Lesson 1. Stop and take a moment to appreciate your success and how far you’ve come.

From time to time park outside a crappy and embarrassing place you used to work at (If you’ve had that experience) and feel the contrast between where you were THEN, from where you are NOW.

Lesson 2. for MAXIMUM CLIENT RETENTION, call your clients every Sunday… EVERY Sunday and get them super pumped for next week.

This one little thing will get clients to stay with you way longer.

Ok, now take massive action!

And, let me know what you think too.
