Hey – Steve here just back from Orlaaaaaando Florida.

We (Me, Bedros, McCombs, Ballantyne, and Delmonte) just completed teaching our first 100k Group Mastermind.

That’s where we take 34 fitness professionals, and lead them stet-by-step to building their very own hundred thousand dollar a year information product.

We had SUCH A BLAST… The ENERGY in this group was AMAZING!

Can you imagine… in the next 12 months, 34 fitness professionals will will make an ADDITIONAL $100k income stream by helping thousands of others with their info products.

For example, “mean” Jannine Murray who is a top personal trainer in Victoria BC will have an info product coming out that is going help women all over the world have the perfect bootie…

And I feel like by helping Jannine, to help make better booties world wide, I’m actually helping create WORLD PEACE.

…What? I do! LOL

One of the coolest parts for me, was to watch my little brother David Tendrich gave a smash hit presentation on how to write money sucking sales copy.

But ya want to hear something funny/cute…

David and his girlfriend Lou Lou, crashed in my hotel room Friday night.

And ya know how it’s usually the guy who spoons the girl…

Well, when I woke up, I looked over and Lou Lou was sleeping behind my bro, holding him, with her arm and leg draped over him.

He looked so sweet in Lou Lou’s arms…

Like a little baby gazelle being help by a lion.

And I had a little moment LOL…

But here’s what I want you to check out…

My brother just did a KILLER fitness marketing guest post on how to do a super genius Thanksgiving promo

So now without further ado -

Take it away David!!

Hey, it’s David -

…And I’ve got a killer Thanksgiving/ holiday season promotion for you that automatically lends itself to continuity. What I mean by that is after your clients go through this promotion, it naturally leads into them attending your regular boot camp/ training sessions and paying your monthly rate.

Here’s what I mean…

Monday November 30 is the Monday after Thanksgiving. It’s a time when people are anxious to shed the extra pounds they packed on after stuffing their faces with their family and friends.

But wait, there’s more!

That’s because right around the corner from that is another eating frenzy called Christmas! And then there’s another one called New Year’s! Basically, from Thanksgiving until New Year’s people are battling serious weight gain.

So here’s the promotion:

Starting Monday November 30 you begin a “Burn Those Holiday Pounds!” campaign. It’s a 36 day program that goes all the way from November 30 until January 4. That way it covers Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, and gets people on track for a few days after the New Year begins. For this 36 day program you’re gonna want to charge around $149.

But here’s the kicker…

Because you’re going into the new year, you can get people on the whole “making resolutions” thing. Towards the end of the 36 days, have people write down resolutions, or just talk about their resolutions with them. Then ask them what they’re going to do about their fitness goals.

Regardless of what they say, tell them you have a great idea for them – joining your training/ boot camp!

If you’re not sure of what to say you can say something like this:

“Hey, we’ve got a great program here that is sure to help you accomplish every one of your resolutions. It’s really similar to what you’ve been doing these 36 days, too, only it’s year round so for the entire year you’re going to look great and be in great shape. The program costs just $xxx a month and that’s for X training sessions every week of every month. If you’re interested then come talk to me after today’s boot camp/ training.”

So let’s do the math for a second…

Say you got 20 people to join your 36-day program for $149.

That’s $2980 you make right off the bat.

Now say 10 of those people stay with you after the program ends.

If you charge $199 a month, then you just pulled in an extra $1990 a month.

And that’s if you get just 20 people. The great thing about having your own business is you can bring in as many clients as you can get. Set a goal for how many you want ,and go out and do it!

How to advertise…

Here are the 2 ways I’d go about getting the word out for this:

1. Make a series of Craigslist ads and start posting this week, all the way through the end of next week…

2. Go out and talk to people the week of Thanksgiving (the malls will be PACKED)

Using some of the sales scripts my brother has talked about in some of his other posts will work like a charm.

Can’t wait to hear how it works for you.

-David

p.s. I’ll be discussing this idea and others that you have in the comments with you.

Be sure to visit David’s blog to learn more of his killer cash-pulling sales copy writing strategies

And to get David’s input, be sure to leave a comment or any questions ya have below so he can answer all of them.

(My coaching clients usually make $6,279 within 1 week after the first call from one secret that I give them)

But first I want you to know how FRIGGIN COOL it was at FBS09 to meet so many peeps that made boat loads of cash-o-la form my blog.

One girl made 24k in two weeks with one of my tips… That was AWESOME

Seriously, my #1 passion in life, besides being a daddy and husband, is helping fitness professionals make TONS of MULLA.

It’s like an addiction… I literally get a high from it.

(Is that weird? Cuz I was on a lot of ADD meds as a kid and I think it messed with my brain a little)

So here’s how to get a free 60 Minute
coaching call with me…

Leave a comment with exactly how my blog has helped you to over come an obstacle and make more money.

Be very specific…
What were you struggling with?

What was the tip, tactic or strategy that you applied?

Exactly how much money did you make?
How long did it take?

The blog is great, but there’s nothing like one-on-one live mentoring.

After you leave your detailed comment, my assistant Ariel will contact you and set up your coaching call.

I can’t wait to read your success story!

Talk to ya soon

Guest post by Zach Hunt

I was always a little unusual as a kid, besides the fact that I never really talked to anyone in School (besides the teacher) I would usually read 1-2 books a week (while in class). Then go home, study computer programming books and work on that until like 2AM.

One thing I did have right was “I always stayed motivated to do my best at whatever my desire in life was”.

Back then it was to learn as much as I could about programming languages (C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, whatever else). While programming has certainly come in handing creating my own website, my main motivation in life now is just massively crushing the competition in my fitness business here locally. That just brings a smile to my face just thinking about it.

Some of my favorite books on the topic of motivation, mindset and success are…

- “Psycho-Cybernetics”, by Dan Kennedy.

If you haven’t read this one yet, definitely check it out immediately.

- Goes right with “How To Win Friends And Influence People”, for me, that one being about how to interact with others, this one how to interact with yourself (sorta).

It goes like this, “The essence of Psycho-Cybernetics is the accurate, calm, and ultimately automatic separation of fact from fiction, fact from opinion, actual circumstance from magnified obstacle, so that our actions and reactions are solidly based on truth, not our own or others’ opinions.”

Basically not limiting yourself based on your perceived limits or perceived limitations from others,

Letting yourself out of the box to just be bold, aggressive and fearless in your life.

There are so many great nuggets of truth in this book,

whenever I read this book I felt like jumping out and doing something bold and fearless.

One of my favorite strategies for motivation is the projection of a mental movie of an idealized future.

For example….

Whenever I wake up in the morning, one of my favorite mental movies is seeing other local studio / fitness business owners (I know of or have met a lot of them) in fear of what I’m doing with my company, they’re saying things like, “You’d better watch out for Zach Hunt of Physzique, the dominate fitness studio in Spokane.”, or, “It’s hopeless with the search engines, he already owns them all.”

Now if I were them, I would be afraid of me =) Every time I think that one, I just jump out of bed and run to my computer or something just to get moving forward.

I have a bunch of great mental movies that I run through my mind as I go to sleep and when I’m lying in bed in the morning after I pressed the snooze once.

I created a little sheet with a bunch of reminders….

For starters these mental movies encompassing all my favorite scenarios around my business, life, and whatever else is important to me.

I just run through them each day slipping into and out of consciousness.

As Psycho Cybernetics mentions, the time when your sub-conscious is most susceptible to influence is when you are slipping into and out of consciousness. I can certainly attest to this.

I’m sure you’ve had this happen to you before also. Ever feel tired one evening, maybe drifting off on the couch thinking about the next day, or next week of activities you’ve had. I did this just yesterday.

I had a talk at my local church on fitness, now normally this sounds like a breeze and it was when I did it, it was a ton of fun. But the night before I was feeling tired and when I thought about it, it seemed like something hard or something I was nervous about.

Never make an important decision when you are tired or worn out.

You’ll make the cowardly and fearful decision.

In the book in mentions a story about a psychologist R.A. Vandll, who proved that mental practice in throwing darts at a target.

Wherein the person sits for a period each day in front of the target, and imagines throwing darts at it, improves aim just as much as a person actually throwing darts during a similar time period.

A similar study was done, on the effects of mental practice on improving skill in sinking basketball free throws.

One group actually practiced for 20 minutes a day on the free throws.

2nd group did nothing during 20 days

3rd group did nothing other than intensely imagine their free throws being a success

At the end the 1st and 3rd groups had the exact same improvement record, about 24%, while the 2nd group has no improvement to show.

Your brain is a powerful thing. And just like in Psycho Cybernetics,

It mentions how your brain cannot tell the difference between intensely imagined scenarios, and things that actually happen (in relation to your nervous system and your memory perspective).

There’s a part in the book that talks about building your experience through mental imagery, meaning you can build your experience through the mere practice of imagining the events happening in your mind.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

And I’d prefer to build experiences of positive and successful stories, building my confidence for future business ventures.

This could be used for sales training, training groups, public speaking, calling big wigs, whatever.

One of my favorite quotes I run my life and fitness business by is, “The best way to become unstoppable is to refuse to stop.”

When you make up in your mind that failure is never really even an option, you go beyond the point of no return and fully commit your every day to doing your

best and making as much progress as humanly possible.

I have to tell you for example:

If I would of stopped after 6months into my fitness business…

I would have had zero clients ever. I’ll admit I sucked hard when I first started my business.

I was like 20 just turning 21, didn’t have a clue about marketing (If I only knew of Steve’s human billboard strategy back then). I ended up getting my very first client through my website of all places.

Anyway, I refused to stop and it got better, much much better!

By David Tendrich (Steve Hochman’s little bro)

My little bro is making piles of extra cash-o-la in his spare time from his guitar lessons biz while he’s going to college. To be honest, when I was his age I was throwing water balloons at dudes from the 7th floor of the dorms. Damn I miss that… Good times.

But what’s really cool is that he gets 100% of his clients by marketing on craigslist all for FREE!
(I guess this business stuff runs in the family or something cuz he’s KILLING IT)

So my little bro wrote this 5 five step fitness marketing system that will have you dominating Craigslist too. (He really went ALL OUT SO BE SURE TO LEAVE A COMMENT J)

Step 0: What you MUST do before you write an ad!

In order to effectively tell people why your service is so great, you have to know for yourself. I’m sure you know why you’re the best out there, but maybe you’ve never put it into words.

Create two lists:

List 1 is an in-depth list of every service you offer

List 2 is a list of all the benefits someone would receive from hiring you.

Go into as much detail as possible. You will draw from these lists to write your whole ad.

Now onto the actual ad . . .

Step 1: The Headline

You have 3 seconds AT MOST to grab the attention of internet readers.

Here’s how to use that time wisely:

MAKE A PROMISE: Promise your reader a benefit they’ll gain from your service. As you can see in the headline to this guide, I promise that if you use these techniques, your business will “INSTANTLY Boost.”

WORD CHOICE: Use action verbs. “Create” killer ads, “Boost” your business, “Slash” through your competition. Back up these action verbs with flashy descriptive words: “INSTANTLY” or “KILLER” for example. A thesaurus works GREAT for this.

COPY: Google “Headlines that work” and draw inspiration from the sites that come up.
There’s some great headlines out there you can copy and use for yourself!

Step 2: Picture your success!

Pictures will separate you from 99% of Craigslist ads.

SELF PICTURES: In order to portray yourself as an authority figure, put a really great picture of yourself below your headline that shows you connected to your service. For example, below my headlines on my guitar ads, I have a picture of me holding a guitar.

CAPTION: Below your picture, write a caption that says, “Photograph of <Your Name>, Founder and Trainer of <Your Company’s Name>.” If you don’t have a company name – COME UP WITH ONE!!! Having a company name makes you sound professional, and separates you from all the other trainers out there who just use their name.

CLIENT PICTURES: If you have success stories of clients, use their pictures along with a written testimonial from them. Testimonials are ESSENTIAL, and we will get to them in Step 5.

Step 3: Do this, and you will succeed.

Okay, so you’ve got the attention of you reader, they like your pic, and now they want to know about your actual service.

YOU-ADVERTISING: You are writing this ad for your reader, so don’t make it about you! Make it about them! The two most powerful words in an ad are “You” and “Your”! Talk about how “Your” body will benefit.

Don’t get caught up in writing lists of your qualifications.

People care a little about that, but they’ll call an ad that talks about how they’ll benefit over an ad talking about how smart or qualified you are. Therefore, every time you list a qualification, back it up with a piece of “you-advertising.” For example: “I was certified at <incredible school> so I know the BEST ways to get you into that tight bikini before summer even gets here!”

QUESTIONS: Dale Carnegie says the best way to make someone love an idea is if they come up with it themselves. Asking people questions causes them to think of ideas to answer those questions. You can ask people things like: “What would it mean if you could . . . -Fit into those skinny jeans you packed away years ago? -Feel PROUD of your body? -Look great wearing ANYTHING? -Smile EVERY TIME you look in the mirror at how beautiful you are?”

DEAR MR. OR MS. READER: Another way to talk to your reader is through a letter. In a letter, you can reveal a lot of personality, as well as throw in more “me-advertising,” where you focus on yourself. Here is an example of a letter. By the way, anything on this guide you like, feel free to copy and use for yourself!

Dear Friend,

Believe me, I know what it feels like to want to be in shape. In fact, I used to want it so badly I would even have dreams of seeing myself in my perfect body. I was overweight, unhealthy, and worst of all, MISERABLE about who I was, and what I looked like. I was as likely to go to the beach as I was to jump in a bed of nails, because I was so embarrassed of how I looked.

Then something clicked in me.

I don’t know what it was, but all of the sudden I was inspired to do something about my misery, and get in shape, and get into a healthy way of life.

I researched hundreds of different ways of getting into shape, and from my research, accidentally stumbled upon a system of working out that actually WORKED!

Pounds were dropping off of me so fast that I needed a new wardrobe EVERY MONTH (which was really expensive, but a sacrifice I loved to make!).

I taught it to my friends, and they experienced the same results. I taught it to my family, and it worked for them too! It was then that I knew I had to teach as many people as I could this INCREDIBLE system of working out that I call the “Dream-Maker” Formula, because it will make your dreams of being in shape COME TRUE.

I only have a few spots left so hurry and call me to claim your FREE Introductory session so I can show you how great YOU can feel!

Best,

<Your name>

<Company Name>

<Phone #>

<E-mail>

<Website>

Step 3: Okay . . . You talk a good game, but can you back it up?

Testimonials are perhaps the most crucial part of an ad, because they show people that all of the game you just spit at them IS ACTUALLY TRUE.

If you have success stories from your clients, ask them for testimonials, and snap a picture of them. The best format for testimonials is to show a before and after picture, and beneath that a written blurb from the client.

You don’t need pictures, but they help a ton!

If you don’t yet have testimonials because you’re just starting out, BORROW SOME FROM ANOTHER TRAINER. Then as you get some of your own, trade them out for the ones you borrowed.

Step 4: Call to Action

Now your potential customers are on the edges of their seats, and can’t wait to get started!
By now they believe that you are great at what you do, and can help them too. Or at least they’re willing to give it a try.

AN OFFER THEY CAN’T REFUSE: Make your customers an offer they can’t refuse (but not in the “Godfather” way . . . <_<). Offer them some crazy discount, a free session, a free anything you can offer. Make them a deal that’s so good they’d be crazy to refuse it! Then, below the offer, write out the dollar value of how much it’s worth. Here’s an example from one of my recent ads:

I’ll tell you what . . . If you want to accomplish any of these great goals with your guitar . . .

Then call me right now for a Free Introductory Lesson!

And I’m so confident in these lessons, I’ll even give you a Free copy of my Signature Guitar-Learning Notebook, too! Because I know you’ll be back for more!

Together that’s $55 in Free gifts

TAKE THE OFFER AWAY: After you’ve made this incredible offer, take it away! For example:

But hurry! Because I only have space for 3 more clients! And I’d hate for you to miss out!

CONTACT INFORMATION: Now all you have to do is tell them a clear way to contact you. For example:

Step 5: Stay at the top!

The way Craigslist works, you can only post each ad every other day. So the best way to get results on Craigslist is to create about 4 ads using the above system for making great ads. Let’s call them Ad1, Ad2, Ad3, and Ad4.

Here’s a schedule for posting your ads:

Mon: Ad1 in the morning, Ad2 in the evening

Tues.: Ad3 in the morning, Ad4 in the evening

Wed.: Ad1 in the morning, Ad2 in the evening

Thurs.: Ad3 in the morning, Ad4 in the evening

Fri.: Ad1 in the morning, Ad2 in the evening

Sat.: Ad3 in the morning, Ad4 in the evening

Sun.: Ad1 in the morning, Ad2 in the evening

And so on and so forth . . .

This way you’ll be at the top every day, twice a day.

KEYBOARD CHARACTERS: To distinguish your ads from all of the others, put keyboard characters next to your title. To get these unique characters such as “██►” follow these instructions:

Click on Start Menu> Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Character Map

Once you open the character map, up at the top select Century Gothic as the font. Then, scroll down to the cool characters. Pick the ones that take up the most surface area, and then Copy and Paste them into the beginning of the Title of your ad.

That way, even if your ad is 4 or 5 down on the list, people will still see them because they stand out so much!

Now just sit back, post your ads, and wait for the calls!

Best of luck!

So my little bro, David, is just a good kid going to college trying to make a few extra bucks to pay the bills.

The other day while we were playing Call of Duty 4 online, he tells me he thought it would be cool if he could give some guitar lessons in his spare time to earn some extra cash-o-la.

So I said dude, let’s throw up a craigs list ad using some of my basic boot camp marketing strategies.

And I do mean basic stuff like:

An attention getting headline

A few rapport building dear friend paragraphs.

Some social proof (testimonials)

A back story (How he “accidentally. stumbled upon” an amazing method for teaching you to jam on the guitar .10x’s faster and better)

A clear call to action

Some free bonuses

A sense of urgency (I only have 2 spots left)

And an attention getting subject line

The ad Kicked ass, and he starting getting prospects left and right…but that’s not the most amazing part.

Let me explain

The entrepreneurial gene must be in our family because, before I knew it, my little brother hired a guy to TEACH his lessons while he just SITS BACK and spends about an hour a week marketing on craigslist.

And the crazy thing is, he’s never spent a damn dime out of his pocket on marketing!

Check out this KILLER interview with my little brother, David.

Enjoy!

By the way, if you want to see what one of David’s high conversion Craigs list ads look like click here

It’s so cool how the same basic methods that kick ass for boot camp marketing, also work for guitar marketing.

Hell, they don’t just kick ass, when you know how to market, you can completely DOMINATE your NITCH

(It’s almost like you have an unfair advantage over everyone else in your industry)

Dude, just think, my baby bro is raking in the dough just spending 30 minutes a week on his guitar lessons biz, while his friends are slaving away at crappy jobs they hate.

Makes me proud to be a BIG BROTHER

I’ve been literally getting 15-20 emails a day asking me two questions.

When am I gonna come out with PROJECT X?

What the hell is PROJECT X?

But what’s funny is, besides going back and forth with Bedros on Twitter about how PROJECT X will dominate – This is the first time I have ever OFFICIALLY leaked anything out about it.

First, let me tell you WHY I created PROJECT X.

Here’s what happened…

By now, you may have heard Internet marketing superstar Chris McCombs referring to me as the “GURU” OF GROUP TRAINING -

Hell, he’ll even tell you that I was the guy that taught HIM how to do it right, when he was a trainer at my fitness studio.

And I’ll tell you straight up, It felt damn good pulling in 250k a year while group training a measly 18 hours a week.

That is, until I accidentally stumbled upon PROJECT X.

But just for the record, it wasn’t all me.

Bedros Keuilian had A LOT TO DO WITH IT!!!!

Don’t get me wrong though, before I teamed up with Bedros, PROJECT X was already a monster money-making machine – Bedros just put wings, after-burners and sidewinder missiles on it…

He made it super-sonic $$

So to answer the question of what PROJECT X is, first let me tell you a little bit of what PROJECT X does.

Never again worry about websites, SEO or Internet marketing

Get a built in base of 250-2000 hot leads from day number one

Train 1-2 hours a day while easily pulling in six figures.

If you use just ONE of my automatic lead generation systems you can reach six figures in only 3 months

It can be grown to seven figures.

It is leveragable (meaning if you ever wanted to stop training you could – while STILL earning six-figures)

Creates massive amounts of freedom for you

Never again worry about having “security”

Spend WAY more time doing what YOU really want to do

Gives you a series of simple automatic lead generating systems

Prevents you from EVER getting burnt out.

Get clients AUTOMATICALLY – Even in your sleep

Gives you instant EXPERT and CELEBRITY status

Automatically gets you on the news several times a year

Get your clients the fastest most INSANE results ever

And that’s just a glimpse of what PROJECT X DOES

And PROJECT X literally towers over EVERYTHING else out there.

Finally, you can taste the POWER and FREEDOM of easily making six-figures within 3 months – and only training clients 1-2 hours a day.

Finally, no more burning yourself out, working an INSANE amount of hours each and every week.

Finally a fitness business in-a-box that does EVERYTHING for you AUTOMATICALLY.

Finally someone GOT IT RIGHT!

But Just hang in there a little bit longer, PROJECT X is almost here.

And at the Fitness Business Summit 09 in May I will be pre-releasing a VERY LIMITED number of PROJECT X beta versions.

So get a HUGE jumpstart on your competition by being the first to get your PROJECT X

Even If you go to the summit and decide not to get your PROJECT X, at least you’ll be prepared when this thing officially goes public.

I think there may be one or two spots left for the Fitness summit…

Ps. you will seriously kick your own ass if you miss out on this.

To NOT kick your own ass, click here

Don’t forget to click here
