Well lucky for you it’s pretty simple when ya know what to do.

So to answer the first question, let’s start with the two most common objections you may get when selling fitness during the holidays.

The most common objections are, “I want to wait until January first to sign up for your boot camp.”, or “I’ve spent too much during the holidays and I have to wait until January.”

Those are probably the most common objections and here’s how to overcome them.

When a prospect tells you they want to wait until January to sign up, offer to train them at a special 70 percent off “holiday” rate for 30 days…

So instead of paying %197 a month, their first month is only $59.

Of course they will sign up for your 12 month agreement that goes to full price after the first discounted month.

And if for some reason THAT doesn’t work, it’s worth it to offer to train them for free until January as long as they sign up today with all their credit card details and are set to be debited in January.

This way you don’t have to compete against all the crazy first of the year specials.

So that’s how to sell fitness during the holidays, now here’s how to KEEP your clients during the holidays.

Just like the two most common objections when selling fitness, the two most common objections for clients staying during the holidays are pretty much the same.

They say that they are either too busy and want to take a break until after new years, or they have spent too much money and need to take a break until after new years.

This is what you do to overcome this.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT EMAIL OR FACEBOOK THIS!

For boot campers who want to take a “holiday break”, on an individual basis, tell them that they can train for the next 30 days at half off.

It that doesn’t work offer them one month at 70 percent off.

And if THAT doesn’t work, and they are a really good client, offer to train them for the next month free.

Why offer this?

Because just like objects in motion tend to stay in motion, clients that workout tend to KEEP working out.

Don’t let them “break the habit” by taking a break, most of the time they don’t come back.

9 times out of 10, the reason you may be “undercharging” has nothing to do with anything else but YOU.

In other words, you may SAY that you KNOW your boot camp has MASSIVE VALUE and that people wont pay higher rates but that’s almost never true…

I’ll prove it to you.

Let’s say you’re changing $97 bucks a month for you boot camp because supposedly that’s all folks in your area can afford.

Now imagine if Jillian Michaels from the Biggest Loser opened a boot camp in your town and said that she only had 50 spots and she was charging $297 a month…

Do you think 50 people in your city would jump on that?

Hmmm… So they CAN afford it after all.

Now, I’m NOT saying to jack up your prices to double tomorrow and I’m NOT saying to raise the rates of your current boot camp clients either.

But you can raise the rates on your NEW clients slowly.

Here’s how…

I call this my “Momentum Method”

Since raising your rates has everything to do with your CONFIDENCE, you do it in small increments.

For example, after the next 5 sign ups, raise your rates by 10 bucks for new clients.

Then after the next 10 sign ups, raise your rates by 10 bucks for new clients again.

Keep doing this until get stuck.

And don’t worry because if you have to drop your rates here and there to close a deal, you can always find a reason to do so.

Now, there are four things that I HIGHLY recommend you when you raise your prices to increase client retention and happiness.

1. Raise your ENERGY! You’d be so surprised how just raising your energy get you a ton more referrals and help you keep your clients 5x’s longer.

2. Take lots of pics of your clients working out and tag them on Facebook. When you take cool pics (and funny pics) of your clients working out and tag them on Facebook and leave a super awesome comment it makes them feel special.

It’s such a small thing but IT WORKS so do it!

3. Send your clients love texts. Let your clients know how much you appreciate them and how proud you are of them by texting them.

But DO NOT send a group text.

Group texts are the kiss of death.

There’s nothing that says, “You’re not so special” then a mass text.

4. Send random thank you cards. Every so often, send a random thank you card in the mail with a little gift card, like a ten dollar Starbucks card.

Just tell them how awesome they are and how lucky you are to have such an amazing client.

You’d be SHOCKED how much this can mean to your clients and how much love you’ll get back for it.

It’s SELLING!

You see, getting leads is just one part of boot camp marketing. The other part is SELLING.

And when I say selling, I’m talking about “Buy or DIE” style.

Here’s how buy or die works…

You FOLLOW UP with a lead until they either BUY, or ask you to stop contacting them (DIE).

Here are 5 methods to get leads to “Buy or DIE”

1. By Email – Having a pre-made email auto responder system is a great way to follow up with leads

And the best part is that you only have to create the emails once, then as leads are entered into your “lead system”, the follow up happens on auto-pilot.

2. By Phone – As soon as a prospect tries out your boot camp or submits their phone number on your website, set up a phone follow up schedule.

I make the majority of my follow up calls in the first 10 days because that is when a prospect is the “hottest”

After 10 days, I call once a week for 30 days, then once a month after that.

3. In person – For some reason boot camp operators don’t set up consultation appointments very often.

But it’s such a powerful sales tool.

And for leads that will make great referral sources, I’ll take it a step further by visiting them at work, or taking them out to lunch.

If they have a lot of “influence” in the community, it can be well worth it.

4. By Mail – A personal letter with a hand written address on the envelope is VERY POWERFUL especially when you enclose a $100 dollar plastic gift card.

5. Through Another Person – If one of your boot camp members referred a friend, or knows a potential client, they can follow up for you.

And if you motivate your boot camp members by giving them half off their next month by getting the lead to sign up, then they will bend over backwards to help you.

All these methods are like little spokes on a wheel, and when you add them all up, they become a powerful addition to your boot camp marketing system.

Be sure to let me know what you think, and if you have
some kick-butt “Buy Or DIE” follow up strategies.

We had a blast and got TONS of stuff done

(Be sure and ask me about the “little incident” when you see me and my bro David at the Fitness Info Summit

But before we take off, I wanted to show you a simple, but POWERFUL client getting strategy that my brother David uses for Craigslist.

So if ya want to get boat-loads of clients for free of of CL, then check out this strategy below.

And if you interested in jumping on board the worlds most dominating boot camp system, before your territory is gone for good, then go here.

Ok, now check out this killer craigslist fitness marketing strategy.

Here’s one more tested-to-work secret from my brother David’s Craigslist bag o’ tricks

Hey,

David Tendrich here (Steve’s bro). Today I’m revealing my Craigslist posting schedule that I’ve only shared with paying clients until this point. That’s because it’s highly tested, and will have you at the top of the list in 3 different categories, 7 days a week.

This schedule requires:

12 quality ads…

And it requires dedication, commitment, and consistency…

Because it will only get you GREAT results if you stick with it every day. If you use it just every once in a while I can’t promise you’ll see that great of results.

But if you think spending 5 minutes every day posting ads (or getting your assistant to) is a good trade for getting up to 5 clients in one week (which are the results some of our clients have gotten from this schedule), then this posting schedule should be right up your alley.

You’ll notice that the schedule only goes up to Tuesday. That’s because on Wednesday, you delete Monday’s ads and start the cycle over…

Then you just keep going at it like the Energizer Bunny.

But seriously, if you stick to this schedule, and if you have solid ads, then this schedule CANNOT fail.

“Here it is… Your Done-for-You Craigslist Posting Schedule for EXTREME results…”

Monday (9 am):

Community – General

Ad 12

Wednesday – Delete Monday’s ads (this is important to prevent getting flagged, and CL will like you better) and start all over again for COMPLETE Craigslist Domination!

Then just continue the pattern into Thursday… Friday… Saturday… etc…

Also try Community – Activity Partners from time to time, or if there are other categories in your area that work better, use those instead, because every area is a little different. These categories are what I’ve found and tested to be strong overall though.

This is why this schedule is so powerful:

You’re dominating THREE CATEGORIES every single day…

By posting in each category twice a day, you’ll be at the top of the list morning, noon, and night… Which means more clicks, more calls, and more clients…

By deleting the ads, you’re not going to get flagged, and you can keep recycling the ads over and over again, making this schedule SIMPLE and EASY… Once you create 12 ads, you’re done for life!

Until next time,

Ya know how Starbucks is EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE knows about it?

Well it all started with a thought… An idea… A dream

Here is the Startbucks original mission statement:

“To establish Starbucks as the premier purveyor of the finest coffees in the world while maintaining our uncompromising principles as we grow.”

The keyword here is GROW.

And the dude who founded Starbucks, Howard Schultz, knew all about that.

Here is a quote about what makes him tic:

“I wanted to be in charge of my own destiny,” says Howard Schultz. “It may be a weakness in me: I’m always wondering what I’ll do next. Enough is never enough.”

Now that’s a dude that who was thinking BIG.

But why can’t this be you… WHY?

It can!

What’s so different about Howard Schultz from you?

Did he come from rich family?

Nope… He was born in 1952 and raised in a Brooklyn, N.Y., housing project.

THE PROJECTS!

So then why is Howard able to go from the getto projects to multi-billionaire status?

There’s a very good reason and I explain it at the Fitness Info Summit on October 23-24.

And there’s no reason you can do the same thing with your fitness boot camps.

With the right mindset, you can have multiple boot camp locations… From Dozen to hundreds.

(Of course, that’s not gonna happen if your planning on just having one location)

Ok… So how do you know if you are qualified to think big?

Answer these 5 questions:

Are you PASSIONATE about what you do? (Cuz if fitness training is just a job to you, you’re in the wrong biz)

Are you willing to learn from people who have created the success that you want (Cuz that’s the fastest way to slingshot you to your dream)

Are you prepared to feel fear and doubt and DO IT ANYWAY!?

Are you willing to not take NO for an answer?

Are you ready to let NOTHING stand in your way?

If you answered yes to all five questions, then congratulations, you are illegible to THINK BIG!

Talk about thinking big… Multiple location Fit Body Boot Camp owner Leanne Ellington knows about this type of thinking first hand…

When we first met she was hesitant and scared… But after applying some powerful mind set techniques, after only a few months she owns 2 rockin Fit Body Boot Camp locations taught my OTHER trainers!

Michael Duivis is another example of a big thinker… I remember when that crusty fear and doubt had a strangle hold on him…

Now he is opening up his fourth Fit Body Boot Camp location!

All cuz of a mind shift….

I go WAY in depth at the Fitness Info Summit, but here is A HUGE TIP!

Ya know how if you were in a sports car, and put the petal to the metal, you would feel invisible forces pushing you back.

Well that’s just nature trying to make you stay put… Or at least not accelerate so fast.

But you understand these invisible forces, and know they are directly related to you slamming the gas pedal down…So you don’t worry about it (you may even like it)

Your brain works the same way nature does…

Here’s what I mean.

Your subconscious mind does not know the difference between a thought, and doing something in real life…

So when you think about achieving something big, the part of your brain called the Cyco-Cybernetic mechanism thinks it’s really happening and sounds and alarm causing fear and doubt hormones to flood your body.

These powerful hormones can stop fitness professionals in their tracks and kill their dreams.

So here are two things you can do RIGHT NOW to overcome this.

1. Visualize yourself doing what ever causes you fear and doubt… Since your brain can’t tell the difference between a thought and real life, with repetition, you can trick your brain into not feeling fear… (You wont fear something your brain thinks you do all the time)

This totally works!

I used to be terrified of public speaking.

So a couple of weeks before FBS09, ever day I would stand in front of a poster of a croud and visualize giving a kick ass presentation.

When it was time for FBS09, my fear had vaporized.

2. Get exited bout feeling fear… Know that it just means you’re moving forward towards you goals… Learn to like it… To look forward to it… To turn it into EXCITEMENT!

Hey, if you squeezed some good juice outta this post, then check out How To Be Fearless
