My Personal Six Week Body Transformation

Posted by stevehochman on Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

Ok, try not to laugh too hard at some of my pictures (Especially the one where I look like Zoolander)

So I wanted to share my fitness goal… NO, my fitness commitment with you.

It’s definitely time to get serious about leaning out and living super healthy…

So I’m COMMITTING to YOU (The greatest fitness professionals in the world) that over the next six weeks, I’m going to transform my body.

It’s so cool that I can feel held accountable by thousands of the most inspirational fitness professionals on the planet :)

(As I’m typing this, my stomach is growling from eating way less than I’m used to)

But just like you know that if you do exactly what I say when it comes to fitness marketing you will be living the life of your dreams, I know that by sticking to a strict workout and diet program my body will be transformed after 6 weeks.

And just like when you’re building your fitness empire it’s really helpful to tell your close friends and mentors what you’re going to accomplish so they can hold you accountable, the same goes for getting back in shape.

So here I am letting you know :)

Oh, in case you’re wondering how I got out of shape…

Well it’s weird, as soon as I stopped training, and switch 100% to fitness marketing I started gaining weight.

I guess one of the reasons is because instead of burning hundreds of calories jumping around like a madman while I beat my clients into submission, I found myself in front of my computer all day.

In fact, sometimes I would go for days without even leaving my house.

And because I have such a bad case of A.D.D. I would have to take a work break and walk to the refrigerator about a dozen times an hour.

I guess there is an adjustment period from working on a schedule 8 or 9 hours a day, to having ABSOLUTELY NO SCHEDULE.

But now it’s time to get friggin serious… Ya know what I’m saying?

This pic above is pretty embarrassing, but it is what it is right?

One thing I’ve learned it to that if you constantly evaluate yourself, and if you’re completely honest with yourself, then you’ll continuously improve.

So… There you have it… The good, the bad and the ugly of Steve.

but by August 1, 2010, come hell or high water, there is going to be another transformation.

I’d REALLY love to know your thoughts.

  8. i’m sure there is a lot of trainers/fitness entrepreneurs finding it hard to practice what they preach me included.

Right now i’m super busy but trying to find time to train.

i have just started a mens club after bootcamps and selected 3 of my superstar clients to stay back and do a wee bit extra.

Works well because i have made them fitter than me.

    well done for posting

  9. It is amazing to me that as trainers and fitness professionals we end up spending less time on our training and fitness than our clients do a lot of the time. I like Steve’s idea that we should all be posting pics of ourselves every 30 days to keep us in line!!

    Comment by Brenda — June 16, 2010 @ 4:05 am

  10. That’s awesome Steve. I know you’ll do it.

  11. I have the same problem, except the opposite end of the spectrum. I get busy and I lose weight crazy fast. First month of opening up my FBBC, dropped 10 pounds of lean mass. I’m taking my clients through a 6 week challenge that just started Mon. Last night I went shopping and am doing the same thing as you by going through the challenge with them, well on my own, but same time ;)

  12. Hey Steve,
I and my wife just started our Transformation contest with Tom Venuto. The reason is because he is giving away a trip to Maui, HI. and I really needed a goal to reach for.

For the past 3 or 4 years I have worked hard at building two businesses and I know exactly what your going through. I got to 226 pounds and I am now, just two short weeks later at 214 pounds.

The contest keeps me focused, which I really haven’t had the past 4 years because I have been focusing on others around me.

Keep up the great work on the blog, but take care of yourself because you know that everyone is watching you. Great seeing you at FBS10

  19. well, i am into bodybuilding and i have never had this much muscles in my body. I love BB and it is the best there is. yea i know i have to run and train my boot camp soon. it will be fun while i can take off my shirt. LOL… i am kidding. i do eat lot too but not much of fat except in my belly– just a little and u know i can get a 6 pack pretty quick and i will have to send you a pix of me soon. i have made a committment to enter a BB contest in DEC. it is going great and it looks very promising. WOW. i am so excited to have a boot camp about 2 weeks and entering a BB in Dec.
the other thing is…UGH!!! i will have a very strict diet in the last 14 weeks before entering BB contest. Right now, i can eat alot of carbs and protien and good fat. i rarely go out to eat because i don’t know what the hell they put in the foods and so i stay away from the resturants. i cook at home and eat my food at home. i think that is pretty smart way to eat right. I love FRUITS…i can eat any friuts all day. my favorite are cherries and pineapples!!!

has anyone ever heard of coconut oil??? man, it taste great when you put that in food while you cook them…adds a nice flavor.

    Later Steve…

  20. You can do it Steve!

I lost 55 pounds in six weeks (that’s about 15 pounds more than when I met you at FBS), so I KNOWWW that you can do it! I don’t mean that you have to lose that kind of weight… all I’m saying is that, if you decide now that you’re committed and you follow through, you will succeed.

Maybe you should go ahead and blog about your weight loss… make yourself accountable, just like how I committed to you and Bedros that I would lose that weight.

    Go for it dude!

  36. SITTING is the killer of any program. Sitting in front of the computer, sitting in front of the t.v., desk job at work. Sitting sneaks up on you. Sitting changes how your butt looks. Good you caught this early. Good luck! I have no doubts you will succeed because you are Steve. :o )

  41. I think this is GREAT! I actually had a similar “a-ha” moment watching ‘Losing It With Jillian’ the other night.

I’ve had some turmoil in my business the last couple of months, some bad trainers not delivering results. I got rid of the trainers, offered to take on the clients myself in the transition, yet still had a mass exit of clients… and then it dawned on me…I had forsaken my own fitness level…

No one wants to train with a “fat” trainer!

Looks like we’ve all had an epiphany…

    Great post Steve!

    Comment by Jason Morgan — June 16, 2010 @ 1:31 pm

  42. My husband and I found ourselves in the same position last year. We were focused so much on our clients, that we didn’t train nearly as much as we should have. We got focused and began training the way we should have been and our clients noticed. I wish you the best and I’ll be following your blog to see your progress.

    Comment by Joyce — June 17, 2010 @ 4:29 am

  43. You looked damn good in 2001 Steve, I’m getting into the Fitness industry so that I CAN be fit and healthy and make a profitable career and business at the same time. But I see that running a business can take over your own fitness level so I better watch myself carefully, otherwise its defeating the purpose for my choice.
PS I wouldn’t want to be trained by a fat guy either.

  45. Steve, the photos show that you have what it takes to transform your body whichever way you want. So congratulations in advance, because I’m certain that you’ll achieve whatever you have set your mind to in the healthiest way possible. Cheers!

  46. Hey Steve! So cool that you are sharing all of this process with us! Have you read the book “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain”? After I read it I made it mandatory to get my workouts in every morning because science has proven that some good ol’ high intensity exercise helps keep my ADD at bay and keeps me focused when I’m working on growing my business! I got creative with this and found a good group of clients/friends to workout with me during my workout time slots so we all get a great workout and I can work/workout at the same time.

As you go through this transformation let me know if there is anything I can do to help you at all! I know you will kill it in the gym and stay clean with the eating. One things I definitely have come to learn about you is once you set your mind to something it’s as good as done and I have a ton of respect for you because of that! KILL IT BRO! Become Zoolander. LOL!

  47. Good luck Steve, thanks for sharing. Great to see that us trainers are human and do struggle to stay on top of our health and fitness like the rest of them.
Good luck and im looking forward to seeing the end result!

  48. 2001- Yeow! Best of luck to you. Not that you’ll need it. :)
