Hey Steve!
Thnx for the great post!

Currently, I have 35 clients at my semi-private training studio. Avg client = $300/month = $10500/month

2010 goal: $360k yearly from training dues. For that to happen I need 120 total clients if the avg metrix apply.

In th emonth of January I will sign up 35-60 clients (currently on track for 42). Each client will have an amazing experience, resign for a regular membership plan (auto-depit), and refer 2-3 friends. By February, my whole year will essentiall be set up to hit $360k.

I've put together the marketing plan and set the ball in motion. I've even encorporated meditation and my positive affirmation:
"I'm so happy and grateful, because I know with all that I am, I have everything I need and I will apply it all in order to make HardCore Fitness Studio into a $500k/year fitness business".

$360 is my plan from membership dues and the rest is divided among other services.

Your words of wisdom and your interview with John Assaraf have played a big part in this. Thank you so much!

Well I’m nowhere where I want to be yet or where I thought I’d be by now. Had a fair number of incidents occur in my life and been working through some issues since I started my boot camp. Tried to cover them up but they have impacted me a great deal going unresolved. But working through them now and currently this is where I’m at:

- 1 boot camp location
- 12 HB’s (not enough room to have 21 if want to fit monthly paying clients in)
- 5 paying monthly clients at $197/month
- Totalling $985/month (not even paying facility rent of $1100/month and now living with girlfriend’s family b/c can’t afford my own place)
- Training part time with another company on the side just to get by.. Averaging $500/month there

Now where I want to be by the end of 2010:
- 3 boot camp locations all run by other trainers
- 2 making 100K (43 clients each at $197/month) and newest one making 75K (32 clients at $197/month)
- 2nd location up and running within a month and a half
- Be in Steve’s and/or Bedros’ coaching, mentorship program to really sky rocket my success

Why I want to be there:
- Move out of gf’s place and be self sustaining
- Start traveling the world again – next stops being Mexico, Thailand and the Galapagos
- Have my debt paid off and be free of worrying about if my bills are going to be paid on time
- Start saving to put a down payment on an apartment or condo
- Be able to start a life with my gf without financial worries
- To be confident in my ability to be able to stick with something and work hard at it consistently to make it succeed and to know that I can truly do what I set my mind to

You know what!? You're so right on! I read about this Napolean Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich. You gotta be specific about what you want and focus on it. Write it down. Read it and repeat to yourself every day. Memorize it. But, be careful what you wish for... I heard about this woman who would always say " I want a husband".. She got a husband, except it was some one elses husband. She wasn't specific enough, she got got a husband though.

I'm starting completely over. My certification expired over a year ago and back when I was training out of a gym as an independent contractor, i was totally clueless about marketing and mindset strategies. I just moved back to a decent sized town ( I was out in the country for a while) and I got a job as a waiter so that I can get back on my feet and save up the money I need to do get the things done in order to get back into the fitness training business.

So basically I'm starting at ZERO.

By May 1st, 2010, I will have two indoor boot camp locations in Santa Fe, New Mexico with a combined total of 80 members paying $99 a month on 6 and 9 month auto debit agreements. I will have a 5:30am class and an 8:30 am class for stay at home moms. I will have two instructors teaching these boot camps for me the majority of the time.

By May 1st, 2010, I will have 20 personal training clients on training memberships paying $199 a month on 6 and 9 month auto debit agreements. I will have two other instructors training the majority of these clients.

I have my goals written out in more detail in my business plan. A business plan is crucial when it comes to maximizing you're efficiency and not wasting time on guess work.

Bottom line is this... Write down you're goals and be specific. Steve is the man!!

Happy New Year Steve! Goals are my favorite and have always been a very important part of my life. I have been doing bootcamp sessions since Oct 5th. I was working full time and was zapped in energy dept. I had a vision to get my own fitness center/studio. Well, at the end of November the opportunity came and I got the place. I have only 11 clients. However, my doors open Monday, Jan 4th and I am working on getting a virtual bootcamp lifted off and already have 30 clients there!! I have been trickling with curious people and I have a goal to get 60 people by the end of Jan making the $8,000 that seems to be the magic number to make life comfortable and to give back to the community and to my core group who started with me! ;-) I also want to grow in the supplement dept too with prograde. I have been directed to Mark 9:23 many times in these past couple months and I have the faith and the drive to see my dreams come true. My goals will be fullfilled and I thank you for all the help along the way!

Where I am at:
I currently have 0 clients.
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the inability to find clients, bootcamp members, bootcamp sites, anywhere to train, etc
Worried that I won't be able to get this thing started and not be able to pay the bills

Where I want to be:
I want to be making more than $2000 per month.
Start online training and diets
find out how all you guys are making $100k per year! that's outrageous!

Happy New Year Steve!
What a great way to start 2010.

Where am I at:
Transitioning my personal training business away from the many services I offer and focusing on 2 things: boot camps and small group training.
Consulting with Lou and David so I get an excellent website.
Barely breaking even each month.
Offering at home one-on-one personal training that is a huge investment of time and money for me (and not working).

Where I want to be:
I want to be financially independent from my parents where I can fully support myself with my personal training business.
I want a boot camp that has 3 time slots (early a.m., mid-morning, evening), 3-4 times a week, with 15-20 boot campers per camp.
Have all clients on EFT.
I want to be renting a facility that does not limit me to time slots and allows me to offer boot camps and small group training plus provides opportunities to join forces with other specialists in the health field.
Living in a condo instead of an apartment.
Driving a BMW (the car I've wanted since I was 8).

Steve, I came across your blog back in July. It was just the site I needed to see as your words inspired me to achieve more and get more out of personal training. Thank you so much.
