Maybe you can help answer the question above…
Ya see this guy named “Jake” claiming to be a personal trainer left a pretty nasty message for Adam regarding the video he did on the last post while walking through a freezing snow storm.
The post was called “Speak It Into Existence” and it was super inspirational.
Here is the comment that “Jake” left.
Cool video but kind of sad. Aren’t you a FBBC franchisee? Aren’t you supposed to be making six figures by now? You were one of the original people to sign up. That would be almost 8 months ago.
Maybe the next time FBBC is released your testimonial shouldnt say how awesome the program is, but how you dont even have a car and you walk 30 minutes in freezing cold. Not busting on you as much as the promises of FBBC that might not deliver.
Speak the truth.
Jake – CPT
http://www.stevehochman.com/video/guestpost2.flvBe sure to leave “Jake” a message with your thoughts below.
Rock on!
Steve

Hey Jake, just like the most annoying clients want to see fat loss overnight, some trainers want to see six-figures overnight. The plan can be laid out perfectly, but people must go through a personal change of constant habits before they see top results. This is interesting that you post this negative response to Adam’s awesome positive idea. Instead of focusing on how FAST FBB delivers, maybe you should focus on how fast it makes a permanent mental change. In the long run, those who follow Steve and Bedros advice will be far ahead. That is what matters. Keep it up Adam and Steve!
Also, I don’t see anywhere in Adam’s video where he claims to “not be doing well.” I know that he has enough money to fly to conferences, and now works less hours per day too. Looks like he is living it up to me.
Comment by james — December 19, 2009 @ 3:48 am
I can’t resist but say this after some thought. Next time someone says something negative about your video Adam, just make another positive video like the first one man. I really got a lot out of that. Giving this guy a response, was not earned by him if you asked me. You spent time walking in the snow to share something positive. He took a few moments from the comfort of his keyboard to bash you.
Comment by james — December 19, 2009 @ 4:00 am
Adam, you keep doing what you’re doing. Working you way out of debt is never easy. I know people who earn multiple 6 figures and still can’t afford their lifestyle. We tend to increase our expenditure whenever our earnings go up. So, I say keep going like you are. Be willing to pay your dues. Even when you are making gobs of money, keep working yourself out of debt. Once you’re debt free, then you can concentrate on getting the nice car, the beautiful house, etc. I’m sure I speak for all of Steve’s readers when I say I’m proud of you. Steve, I am not a FBBC “franchisee.” Not because I have no faith in your system, but because I’ve got my own thing going on. I thank you for all of your free advise you’ve given out over the last few months. Awesome stuff! Jake, I’d like to know what your problem is. Instead of speaking negativity on other people, shouldn’t you be working positivity into your own life?

Right on! Jack, Jill, whatever the hell his name is has no idea what people have in their life. SUCCESS BRINGS CHALLENGES! Obviously this dude has never tried to reach success, just another trainer working for someone else’s gain.
Keep trucking Adam and Steve. I own a studio and know the challenges and “take no prisoners, take no shit” attitude you need.
Were starting to make a profit now after 7 months of my studio being open, and you best believe I’ll be knocking on Steve’s phone really soon to get FBBC.

Hi Steve and Adam, I work in public relations whilst also being the founder/editor of Fat Free Fitness, and I thought you may appreciate the following comment.
Whilst this was undoubtedly interesting, the first rule of PR is not to respond to negativity. It always, always ends badly, and in the words of the great Dale Carnegie, you can’t win an argument. You may think you have, by making the other person feel inferior, but is it really winning?
An example of this would be a client of ours on the PR side. Without contacting us first, the founder of a company we were working with engaged with negativity. It blew up. It became an argument that was linked to, giving the URL vital inbound links, improving its search engine rank.
What did this do? Every time you search for this prominent client’s name on Google, you see the argument stream right below their homepage. Page one, number two.
If the client had not engaged, it would have been mere drizzle. It became a full fledged rainstorm – one that has undoubtedly directly affected our client’s revenue and subsequent online and offline media coverage.
In short, don’t feel that you have to respond to somebody with a negative opinion, however rude or uninformed you may feel it is. If Richard Branson did this, or Bill Gates, they’d be fighting fires all over the internet. Any fool can leave a hateful comment without fear of retribution, but justifying yourself with a 16 minute video gives this person more exposure, and when others see that you bite on bait, they’ll call you out too. If you don’t end up posting this guys, I at least hope you read it first.
Keep up the great posts, they’re a huge help and appreciated by the majority.

I am a charter member of FBBC. So I have been at for about 8 months. I am not on pace to make 6 figures. But I am on pace to make over $50,000 from my first location and have just started my second. What Jake doesn’t understand is that 6 figures in 60 days is a promise of what’s possible! Even though I didn’t reach that, I still believe it is possible. There was more I could of done to make that happen. I just increased my paycheck by $50,000 in 8 months working 2 hours a day! Who else can say that, that’s not in FBBC? I didn’t have to quit my other businesses to make that happen. So before FBS 09 I had one stream of income now I have two with FBBC and a third on the way with the 100k mastermind.
To sum it all up, I have purchased almost every single product that Steve, Bedros and Chris makes and I have been able to multiply my investment more than 10X! So even if I don’t do what is possible (Promised) I am way better off then I was before! So thank you Steve for telling my I could make 100,000 dollars in 60 days because if you told me I could only make 50,000 I would probably only be on pace to make $25,000.
The other thing is that I have been averaging $1,000 more each month. So at that pace I should be on track for 6 figures in 4 more months which would put me on pace for 100,000 after only a year!

Yo Adam!
Awesome post dude, hope you get out of your debt soon and keep playing hte ACTION game!
I feel that Adams posts in “response” to “jake” is meant to be more of a “moral of the story” type video to US rather than a response to “jake”
You see from this very video has solidified ACTION to us who read all of these wonderful blogs, therefore this video response is actually a nesessity to help us understand that great systems dont work unles they have a driver taking ACTION behind it.

Every one of us is subject to the law of sowing and reaping…..what we are doing in our businesses will determine what kind of outcome we realize. This is true with our physical actions as well as the words we speak. The fruits of our labor don’t always come over night, but that doesn’t matter, if we have planted a seed it will come to harvest.
I heard a great story about the Chinese bamboo tree. In the first 5 years after planting the care taker takes care of it, waters it, adds fertilizer etc and it grows a whopping 1 foot tall. But in the 6th year it explodes up to 90 feet tall! Although the growth wasn’t instantly visible it was happening in the realm of the unseen, because of the actions of the caretaker.
Adam-welcome to ABUNDANCE! It is in the pipeline and already on its way to you because of your words and actions. You are UNSTOPPABLE!
Steve, Bedros & FBBC-welcome to ABUNDANCE! You have helped myself and so many others get where we want to get in life and our businesses. You have sown into so many lives in a true spirit of giving asking nothing in return. 2010 will be your best year ever!
Jake-welcome to MEDIOCRITY! By bringing others down and attempting to be a dream stealer you are setting yourself up for an unfulfilling & frustrating journey. Just because you aren’t seeing your dreams come to pass doesn’t mean you should try to derail others from their’s.

Hey everyone,
As always I totally appreciate your feedback and thank you for the support. I wanted to also put this out there not just for Jakey Boy, but also for everyone else that will no doubt have challenges thrown up in their face. That we can always choose what to do with and how to react to what happens.
There will always… ALWAYS be people out there that like to diss, hate or pick the negative in something. I have family members like that as I’m sure some of you have. Remember this – You can always find the negative in something and in turn you can always find a positive in something. Which one you choose is up to you, just know that your life will grow and you will become a richer, more whole person if you at least find one positive in something.
The positive from Jakey boy for me is to ensure that I do keep on my toes, continue to honor my value for honesty and continue to step up and make it happen.
Cheers

It was great to hear the second video. It really does help those that are having some of the same issues to keep pushing forward.
People are sometimes jealous and speak out without know what another person is going through.
It’s all good. Rich Leigh gave some excellent advice. I’ve noticed that the best way to counter negative is with love.
Who luvs ya, Steve?
That’s right I do. You are the very best – I mean that in more ways than just the programs you put out but the person behind it all that most don’t witness. I have and I thank you for being. I thank God for you too.

As for Jackie… he did mention he wasn’t bashing on me so much but maybe the system. As I said in the Video the System only works if YOU or THE PEOPLE you have running it work.

Hey Rich,
Thanks for the comments they are much appreciated.
I hear what you’re saying for sure and have taken note. My intention wasn’t so much to engage in an argument as much as to cover those aspects anyway. I know that there are FBBC owners out there having challenges also with finding a location etc. and addressing a little truth I felt would also be good for them and help inspire them to continue to work.
Perhaps I also in my earlier years watched a little too much WWF and don’t shy away from a little banter. LoL!
Having said that again I thank you for your input and look forward to continuing to focus on supporting, inspiring and helping my fellow Fit Pros no matter what field or business they may be running.

The first video was uplifting and completely centwred around humility and ACTION!
I’m not sure what compelled you to respond to Jake’s comment. I almost felt you were trying to convince yourself more than respond to Jake. It is unfortunate, we all make assumptions and are sometimes unable to put things into perspective.
I suppose you were taking action through making this video. I know Steve and Bedros have had negative comments before and both handled it with a positive spin. What’s done is done and maybe you had some subliminal mind-control messages that my subconscious picked up that were completely positive ( that’s my spin).
Keep trucking and thanks for all of your positive energy and everyone else on Steve’s blog. It really is contagious and motivating to see like-minded thoughts.

Hey Nick
Thanks for the response mate and I’m thrilled you got great quality out of Video 1
Take a look at Bryan’s comment and you will know the underlying meaning for this post
The fact that Jake made a somewhat negative comment really doesn;t matter and to be honest it ain’t something that I lose sleep over.
The story itself doesn’t matter – we tell stories every single day and often to ourselves. The message behind the video is what is important and your unconscious received that message. Consciously the message was Action and regardless of how good a system is you gotta do the work and make it your success.
Looking deeper into the comment it wasn’t so much an attack on me as maybe the FBBC system so who knows perhaps it’s a competitor of Steve and Bedros? Either way it doesn’t matter and as I do everyone I would wish him the very best 2010 has to offer.
As I said the person, real or unreal and the story itself doesn’t matter. It’s the message behind the story. The story helps to get the message to your unconscious.
All the best to you for Christmas and have an awesome 2010
Cheers

Hey Adam,
Don’t worry about anything anyone else says about you. It’s obvious that you are driven and you do the right things to make yourself successful. The best part is that you are willing to give your secrets and the things that really make a difference with all of us to help us gain greater success as well! You are willing to share and to give, even in a time in your life when you are being tested. That says a lot about you man! You are a great dude and you just gotta keep getting after it. There are always going to be things that come up that will slow down our pursuit of success, but it’s how we handle them and how we persevere that sets us apart from all the rest. I know for a fact that in 2010 you will have several 6 figure boot camp locations and things will improve with your life and the lives of the people you care about because of your positive outlook and the way you view the world. Keep getting Stronger! Keep Growing! Keep Giving and Sharing!
Thanks for all that you do!
Steve,
Your stuff works and is Outstanding, but not everyone can handle it. A lot of people are terrified of achieving success so they choose not to take action. I know several FBBC owners who are killing it and I know that your techniques and strategies have helped my business tremendously. You are a great coach and mentor! Keep up the great work!
THANKS TO BOTH OF YOU!

Hey AT
– I know exactly how it was at the start. I signed my FBBC license on Oct 22nd and am opening Jan 11th, 2010. It has taken all up to this last week to get the venues and leases signed. All venues were getting ready for xmas holidays so my proposal was number 76 on their list of things to do. But I kept at it, kept the phone calls, kept turning up at the venues to press the flesh. A couple of venues even said no in the beginning but I continued on and now they are on board. I too have put myself into debt to make it work because I believe in the system. As you said if you don’t take action then all it is is a system. Get up get out and get it done.
Jake – WHAT A WANKER!!!
I had my instructor interviews last Wednesday, had 22 trainers turn up for 7 jobs. When everyone had arrived I sat them all down and my 1st question was, ‘Who found it hard to get up this early to be here this morning?” (the interview was at 5:45am coz that’s when we work) a couple of people put their hands up. I then thanked them for turning up and sent them home. If they have trouble now I don’t want the risk of them not having the energy to look after my members. i then put the rest through a 30min training session of how the FBBC session would go. We had a quick break then the talking put started. I then told them that they couldn’t rely on prospects falling in their lap, they had to get out and talk to people. 1 guy put he hand up and said, “I get clients handed to me all the time, I don’t need to talk to anyone” so I said “Why then are you here?” I thanked him for his time and sent him home. Long story short, I now have 7 of the most UNBELIEVABLE BOOTCAMP DOMINATORS I could have ever hoped for. I used your incantations on them, hope you don’t mind, and we are all pumped to be the first FBBC-Australia dynasty. All this in 3 weeks time.
Adam, as I told you last week, only an Aussie would be tough enough to do what you do. Keep on truckin big fella, you are an inspiration.
Hey Jake if you ever have the balls to come back to this blog and read any of this, here’s my 2 cents—–> YOU ARE A NUMPTY!!!

Adam,
Aloha and Mele Kalikimaka,
I’m fortunate enough to be a speed and movement specialist working on Maui…somebody has to do it. In my 29 year career, I have had the opportunity teach and coach at several levels. (football, rugby, strength, conditioning and speed and movement. My philosophy developed over all those years and all of the people I have worked with and for? Watch, listen and learn.
I have had athletes try out that:
-Looked likeTarzan and played like Jane (we gave them a chance though)
-Looked like “Mr. Peepers” and played like All Pro (good thing we gave them a chance. we could have
ended up playing against them)
I was an OC and Scouting Coordinator for a minor league team in the mid-90’s. I got to the office early to view tape one morning and there is an older guy drinking coffee with our equiment man. He appeared to have selected his wardrobe from Goodwill, holes in the soles of both shoes. Not knowingn it, I had walked past his 60something Plymouth Valiant slant six in the parking lot. Looked like one of the many down on their luck/homeless types our equipment guy was always befriending.
Remember watch, listen and learn?
Turns out it is my first opportunity to meet our team owner. A founding member of the old MLFS (that model turned in to NFL Europe) and a Bay Area multi-millionaire in the land stabilization business. A VERY humble man. His Valiant was on its 4th or 5th engine “why buy a new car if you can fix the one you have?” He did’nt see the need to impress anybody with a flashy car, “just need to get from point A to B”. No need for fancy clothes as he “works in the dirt”. The bottom line is, by not judging quickly, I had the opportunity to see another mans philosophy on work ethic, attitude, character, productivity, priorities in life, etc. . Would his words and actions have ment more if he had show up in $50k Mercedes and 3 piece suit? It ment more to me that he did’nt.
Personally I enjoyed your video. I see a guy committed to what he believes in and is going to do. Maybe the trudging through the snow and cold is a metaphor for the journey towards prosperity? Keep up the fight Adam. You will prosper and you will appreciate it because of the “journey”. When you’re ready for that Maui vacation, look me up.
Aloha
Coach G

Inspirational videos you’ve posted. I admire the effort you’re putting in, most people would not be willing to go as far as you have to make it happen!
I really valued the theme of the video, and that is TAKE ACTION. You can have the greatest training program, business coach, whatever.. But if that person doesn’t APPLY the knowledge, it doesn’t matter!
Keep up the great effort- 2010 is going to be YOUR year!

Hey Adam, great vid. Like everyone says setbacks are bound to happen and I can attest to that.
For example my camp is very new and this week is actually my first full week operating. So far its gaining momentum slowly but to make some quick revenue I included a weekend workshop for ladies. It caught on instantly and within a week I had 20 girls signed up for it just off craigslist and Facebook alone, with plans to use the pics and videos from the first day to expand. Today was suppose to be the debut but just hours before, the girl whose running the workshop got into a car accident. Fortunately nothing fatal, though she will need a lot of stitches and looks like she suffered a concussion. So I had to cancel that workshop and lose a nice little profit that I could surely have used. But those are the sort of unforeseen obstacles we all have to deal with if we want to succeed.

AT,
Bro check it out, this guy hasnt got the balls to do what you are doing. You do see how he made a comment without weighing it against something he is currently doing. The video was super inspirationl and I know what its like to be on the down side fighting your way back up. in fact you cannot be successful if you dont start from the bottom and really learn how to build a solid foundation.
My favorite saying is “life should be lived against the grain” .. which my friend is exactly what your doing . Im guessing more than half of the trainers in the world would go with the grain and never even considering putting the dedication and effort into growing their business> you keep on rocking and pushing and no matter what each and every day lay down and tell yourself it was a good day and tomorrow will be even better. and one day you will lay down and tell yourself it doesnt get any better !
As for jake and his mis understanding of FBBC, Im curious to know how much jake knows about FBBC and how many locations their are. One blog comment does not stereo type the FBBC model or its success. I Am not one to talk about my situations but to shut this guy up here you go. I have a very successful personal training company and I Just stared with FBBC in october. no, I am not at 6 figures yet however I have 30 clients in my first location and I will be opening another location in january with 12 pre- registered members. Now jake If you do th math, just as of now i am making about 6,000 a month in just about 60 days. And to be full on honest I have been quit lazy in my day to day marketing and involvement in growing.. so If you still have any questions about steves business model or if he knows what hes doing, my suggestion would be to shoot him an e-mail and ask him for a bank statement, then compare it to yours and BINGO!!!! someone is killing it in this business
AT and Steve, keep striving to be better and step on people who get in your way with comments meant to make you feel inferior. 100% JELOUSY

Hey Brandon
Thanks for the support mate and I so appreciate those comments. What good is quality information that can help improve the quality of people’s lives if not shared?
That being said it might also be merely part of my own belief sytems and not others. I know what I know and what I have experiences throughout life and we can always learn from each other in some way shape or form. If for me it helps to inspire others to do more and become more then I am without a doubt successful.
Multiple 6 figure locations will certainly be a nice bonus too… more travelling and greater choice in terms of helping others.
All the best to you
Adam

Coach G
Thank you for the story. “Watch, Listen and learn” an important distinction
It is so very important especially in this day and age that we are able to learn through a range of our senses watch – visual, listen – auditory and of course through feeling. So many situations in our lives can be metaphors on what it takes and who we become so long as we see it.
Thanks again
Adam

Hey David…
I guess I watched a little too much WWF/E over the years.. LOL
Seriously though it was the message behind the story that matters the most and if people can get that either consciously or unconsciously then that be totally awesome.

Vlady,
You know it’s amazing some of the challenges that are thrown at us and out of our control not to be annoyed at something like that we obviously wish the girl well in her recovery. You are right and those are challenges we must overcome in order to succeed.
Your site looks great by the way – where is Sexy City exactly? Sounds like a great place to me
All the best for 2010 and beyond

Going against the grain man… lovin that. like Bedros post recently bout being different. Appreciate the support JB. I admire your honesty too with relation to your marketing etc. It is easy to say “yeah yeah I have done it all, or I have tried everything” when really it is total BS.. kudos man

Hi Adam,
You gotta know these videos have kicked Ass. There is nothing more respectable than someone with radical honesty and also a compassionate heart. Those two combined make for one incredible human being. It has been a pleasure getting to know you and I’m thankful everyday for you and your help, and great attitude. Life can kick your ass sometimes but I think you take it as a kick forward and that is admirable. Your def. One of my favorites;)

Adam,
Your story sounds a lot like mine when I first started in OC with Steve Hochman.
Its a challenge starting up in a new town, city, country, or gym with no clients at all.
Most people just turn around and give up.
My background is athletics. American Football in particular. There is no Hall of Fame quarterback that just came into the NFL and immediately took over without going through the mentally challenging times.
I can say first hand that all of the material on this Steve Hochman’s website works because I have put it to use over the years.
The most important factor that Steve brings to the table is Passion.
And he is found away to harness it and direct it into systems that amplify it to service the world.
Adam you have the same thing.
If you really think about it, its a 30 minute walk.
At least your getting the cardio in.
If anything were any different and you were driving, you might not be on this Earth right now. Try watching the movie “The Butterfly Effect” with the guy from the show Punk’d.
Right now you are like Conan (in Conan 1).
There was an unforgettable scene when he was a child pushing a large wooden mill being molded into a warrior.
In the end was the biggest and baddest mo fo and he got anything he wanted!

Adam,
No matter what, at some point or another, there will always be naysayers– those that try to stomp on our hard work– bring us down– crush us– make us feel small.
Don’t they know that they just give us the ammunition to fight harder, become even more resilient, stand up one more time than we fall, and show them just how wrong they are.
You are and will continue to do just that. Keep fighting. Keep standing back up. And keep up that awesome attitude.
You are a true winner. Screw the naysayers. Surround yourself with fans— and be a fan of theirs too.
