Wealth Is Measured By What You Can Give

Posted by stevehochman on Thursday, December 10th, 2009

picture-21The true meaning of wealth is not measured by what you have, but by what you can give.

And if your a regular on SH.com, then you’re getting tons of great tips, strategies and tactics for MAKING the cash-o-la… And lot’s of it.

And with money comes power, and with power comes the ability to help MASSIVE amounts of people in need.

For example, Bedros and I are using Fit Body Boot Camp to launch a nation wide charity to feed starving families called “Burn The Fat, Feed The Hungry”

Steve Hochman Inc. is working with abused and abandoned kids that have been pretty much lost and forgotten.

And my personal training studio, is giving free Saturday workouts if you bring a can of food or a toy that we will donate to a local shelter.

But you can give everyday… and it doesn’t have to be much… for example:

Tell the Starbucks Barista that you really appreciate her.

Train 5 or 10 clients for free, and don’t expect anything in return.

Make 10 people each day that you don’t know smile.

At the toll both, pay for the stranger behind you.

Buy a shirt for someone you don’t really know.

Get a thank you card and write how much you appreciate someones energy… and enclose a gift card… Give it to someone who wouldn’t expect it.

Show genuine interest and attention to everyone you talk to.

Tell 10 people in a day what makes them so special.

And what’s really cool is that it’s scientifically proven that when you’re giving, your energy vibrates on a much higher level, causing you to attract more “like” energy.

Like I say, If you want to GET MORE outta life, ya got to GIVE MORE in life.

So use your POWER to  give and grow wealthy!

And be sure to leave a very special comment/commitment with how YOU will use your power to “Give and Grow Wealthy”

  1. You know, Steve – all these are things most would know/should be doing, but brilliant posts like this are fantastic reminders.

  3. Great tips steve, at this time of year I love giving presents, so even if it’s people I don’t really know I like to pick up just a little something to spread holiday cheer.

  4. Steve,

Thanks for the reminder! It does feel great to give! Last year I ran a contest around this time of the year and I was giving 3 $500 cash donations. People had to nominate a mom who they felt deserved it.

Since my biz this year was up of 300% I will be increasing the number of gifts. Not only is it very rewarding, but it also has the effect of getting more hits to my site and growing a closer community (I would still do it if it didnt have those benefits).

  5. Thank you for this email. I had been debating volunteering my services to a women’s shelter for some time now but for some reason I never followed through. This will happen today. Thanks for the kick. Also thanks for the reminder how incredible it is to be able to help other people. Now THAT is true inspiration for 6 figures!

  7. Steve,
That was an awesome post. One of my resolutions for the new year is to give more out into the community and to influence and touch more lives than ever without thinking or expecting something in return. I believe that the time, money, and energy sowed in someone’s life or group of people reaps great amounts satisfaction, a satisfaction that’s different from the one money can produce. Great job Steve….keep it up!

  11. Great post Steve.

It’s awesome to give with no expectations.
Especially at this time of the year.

We are blessed with our careers as fit pros
and we should spread peace, love, and joy as
much as we can… as often as we can.

    Thanks. :-)

  13. Awesome post Steve.

I have just launched FREE kids fitness for January to give a bit back for local community, and what the hell the parents can come for FREE too…

You have inspired me to give even more than I already do, and I couldn’t agree more, what you give out with no questions asked, will come back 10 fold.

  15. Greetings and Happy Holidays to all posters

I have to say, the goodwill on this post is phenomenal.

Grats to all givers and well wishers – the sphere of energy has been filled to the brim by all the positive energy and actions by all.

I am heartened to see that my colleagues in the fitness industry are both ambitious and generous, and am proud to count myself as one of you.

    Keep Giving, Keep Rocking

  16. Great stuff Steve! I love it! There’s no better feeling in the world than giving with absolutely no expectations! The Holiday Boot Camp I have been doing has been rockin it and it looks like we are going to get enough toys to donate at least one to every kid in Phoenix Children’s Hospital!

Thanks for the constant inspiration! Keep making the world a better place!

  18. Great post Steve! I’m a total believer in the more you give the more you get. I run monthly charity boot camps for local community organizations and causes in my town. I do fundraising for local teams and groups and on Thanksgiving we did a ‘turkey for a workout’ drive that collected over 450 lbs. of turkey to feed the hungry. We have the power to change lives…don’t ever forget that!

    Get after it!
    Mike
