Heeeey Steve here…
… And I’m about to tell you the SIMPLE SECRET to being whatever you want – and why you have already PROVEN this to yourself.
I’m also gonna ask you to leave a comment with what music you workout to that totally PUMPS YOU UP and turns you into a training machine… (I’ll explain why I’m asking in a minute)
But first, let me tell you a little story/confession.
For 9 years I got up Monday through Saturday and trained clients.
I had a set routing and was in the best shape of my life.
Train myself with weights from 5am to 6am.
Train clients from 6am-10am.
Do my cardio at 10am.
I brought my food for the day in a cooler.
I was super lean, fit and felt friggin great.
Then, I discovered how to get clients on the internet and systematize my business so that I only had to show up to my personal training center once a week (if that)
On top of that, I created (with the help of my BFF and business partner Bedros Keuilian) a system to not only EXPLODE your boot camps, but have them run on autopilot by other trainers…
The good news was that my fitness business was so systematized that I rarely needed to leave my house.
But the bad news was that my own fitness “routine” was shot to hell.
I kept saying I’ll workout tomorrow…
That tuned into next week…
And that turned into next month.
I started to think and act like an overweight, out of shape person.
And That’s exactly what I turned into.
I didn’t realize how far I let myself go until I went to put my dress pants on for a wedding (I rarely dress up)
DUUUDE! The button was like 3 inches from the loop… WTF!
So I looked in the mirror and told myself that I’ve helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds… What would I tell them to do?
I would tell them to change their habbits…
I would get them to “act” like someone who was fit.
An that’s exactly what I did… I acted like someone who was in shape would act.
The first week sucked.
The scond week was hard.
The third week was pretty cool.
And by the forth week I was friggen addicted to working out and eating clean again.
I lost all my unhealthy food cravings and couldn’t wait until my next workout.
And now… I’m BACK IN SHAPE!
Actually better than before.
And it taught me a huge lesson, that as a fitness professional, you already know…
ACT LIKE WHATEVER YOU WANT TO BECOME…
That goes for your fitness business too.
Right now, this very second, start acting like somone who was building multiple six-figure boot camps would.
And if you ever get stuck, say, “But if I knew how to build multiple six-figure boot camps, what would I do?”
What you “Act as if” the universe lines things up for you.
SO RIGHT NOW – Right this very second, start acting like who you want to be… And after about 21 days, you WILL become it.
It takes 21 days for your brain to form a completly new set of neuro-connections and pathways…
And your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between a thought and reality… So in 21 days, you CAN and WILL become a the person you want to be…
And that’s the simple secret.
Now, there are two things I want to end with.
The first one goes back to what I was saying at the beginning.
I want some new “get you friggin pumped” workout music, so leave me a comment with what music you use to have a KILLER workout.
And the the second thing is that I really want to meet you “in person” and hang out at the Fitness Info Summit.
This event will change your life… Like permanently.
If I didn’t mean it, I wouldn’t promote it so hard, cuz then you wouldn’t ever listen to me again.

Awesome Steve. My iPhone is like attached to me and I have Pandora radio as an app.. I work out to the station Linkin Park and I added an extra seed song, down with the sickness by Disturbed. It’s cool not knowing what is playing next. Although I sometimes listen to Fergie cause she’s fergilicious.

Great post Steve!
Sometimes all that metaphysical, law of attraction stuff can get sort of crazy!
This post makes it very simple and “actionable”.
THanks.
Recently I have been getting into the UFC again so I have been listening to “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva.
It helped me a deadlift PB!

Hey Steve,

In the past I didn’t do that but now I m dedicated to listen to it 2 a day and concentrating it during the day.
MY FAVOURITE WORKOUTMUSIC from SHAMEBOY…the album is called HEARTCORE and if this can’t get your FREAKING MUMPED UP nothing will

Yo STEVE, let us know how those that are going that would like to share rooms can get in contact with each other in order to start making arrangements.
Thanks.

Steve,
“Act as if” is a key point in NLP and is also critical in the creation of well formed goals and outcomes.
Rather than saying “I want to make 6 Figures” change the language to “I Now Make”
The real key though is not to just say it but truly act as if which means the your voice tones, body language, congruency, belief.. all that.
As for music… here’s a KILLER track list I used for a 45min or so Annihilation Class…
Includes Warm Up Phases, Kick Ass Phases and Cool Down Phases…
Where the Streets Have No Name – U2
Kickstart My Heart – Motley Crue
Long Way to The Top – ACDC
Thunderstruck – ACDC
Walk – Pantera
Four Horseman – Metallica
Deuce – Kiss
Transformers Theme – Lion
Wherever I May Roam – Metallica
King of The Mountain – Midnight Oil
One Step Closer – Linkin Park
St. Anger – Metallica
November Rain – Guns N F’N Roses
I gotta tell ya that nothing fires me up for a workout more than a list like this… I have simply destroyed myself (and helped others too) with the intensity of some of these and LOVED IT…
In fact… I’m gunna go kick some ass right now..
Later

I actually just got the Workout Muse/Bootcamp Dynamite systems from BJ Gaddour. Theyre good for both myself and I am gonna incorporate them into my bootcamps too

HEY STEVE….
This is SOOO 100% True! AWESOME POST!
I knew when I wanted to start my own boot camps and businesses that I had to think like I was already successful and grind 100% of the time. I started of with an idea and a business partner. My partner wasn’t seeing any return on his time “overnight”, so he was always negitive about everything.
SOOOOO.. i gave him the boot and stated everything on my own.
Now I run a boot camp (multiple locations in the works) and even though it has started really slow, I never lose sight of my goals and dreams. Therefore it keeps me pushing straight ahead all the time!

Steve,
I have what I call a PRE-GAME mode before I run my Boot Camp. First thing I do is throw in some music that gets me jacked so I can BRING the energy when my campers get to camp. Metallica, Kid Rock, Black Eyed Peas.
But then I like to mix it up for the campers while they are arriving and we throw in some old school RUN DMC, Shine Down, more Metallica, and maybe even some Hank Williams Jr. YES, I said Hank Williams JR, and they LOVE it. Get them warmed up and in a “DIFFERENT” state of mind.
During our Camp we use WorkoutMuse. Our camps are systematic, and they tell a story in a sense. And our music helps create the DYNAMIC Experience we offer and a Story Line.
Music can make the difference between a good Boot Camp and an amazing EXPERIENCE! An amazing EXPERIENCE transfers into $$!

awesome post steve!
I am just getting started and its been going pretty good but i think i really need to get a hold of my mind bc it seems to wander off all the time when i am trying to focus on a specific agenda.
Maybe you could give some advice on how to stay focused and organized while dealing with A.D.D. cause i know you can understand where i am coming from.
anyway, i like all kinds of music, i guess it depends on what genre you like:
metal- amon amarth is awesome
rock/reggae- pepper, sublime, and slightly stoopid rule
progressive rock-nine inch nails or tool
rap/hip hop- lil john is always motivating or lil wayne
hope this helps bro and god bless you and all the hard work you put in, it has really give me hope of becoming successful…

I’m a big fan of Scissorfight, Eyehategod, and Slayer for my workouts, man.
