We were firing the .50 cal machine guns on a line (Marine Corps)… Had a break in the action when a Captain walked up to our unit, breathed in gunpowder and gave the great line from Heraculetus in 500 BC. It was the first time I heard it…
“Of every one hundred men in battle, ten should not even be there. Eighty, are nothing but targets. Nine are the real fighters, we are lucky to have them since they make the battle. Ah, but the one — one is the Warrior– and he brings the others home.” Heracletus, 500 BC

Steve this is the BIGGEST thing I’ve learned from you so far – to go to business as if you’re going to WAR.
Getting 20 Human Billboards is only easy if you enter the malls with a “get-it-or-die-trying” attitude.
Very motivational post man.

Steve,
Awesome connection between business, the movie, and life.
It reminded me of this quote…
“It doesn’t work to leap a twenty-foot chasm in two ten-foot jumps.”
I’m not sure who originally said that, but to me it means that you’ve got to get outside your comfort zone and go all out…100% all the time.
Great luck with the launch man!
Best,
Boh

Dude thats so true… Jaiya closed a personal training client on a 12 month up front contract while he was wearing a clown nose and holding a fake rat… And he funniest part was, Jaiya kept a straight face the whole time lol
Good times bro

Hey Steve,
Just wanted to say “thank you”. I just read Jaiyas post and watched this video and got inspired. I let myself get to where Jayia was mentally before he became a “Spartan Badass”. I let myself lose about 50% of my clients due to personal BS and was feeling sorry for myself. However I remembered that no one is coming to the rescue. Now I am coming back with the “Spartan Attitude”.
Thanks again for the kick in the ass.
I needed it.
