I’m gonna tell you about how to get a free 60 minute coaching call with me in just a minute.
(My coaching clients usually make $6,279 within 1 week after the first call from one secret that I give them)
But first I want you to know how FRIGGIN COOL it was at FBS09 to meet so many peeps that made boat loads of cash-o-la form my blog.
One girl made 24k in two weeks with one of my tips… That was AWESOME
Seriously, my #1 passion in life, besides being a daddy and husband, is helping fitness professionals make TONS of MULLA.
It’s like an addiction… I literally get a high from it.
(Is that weird? Cuz I was on a lot of ADD meds as a kid and I think it messed with my brain a little)
So here’s how to get a free 60 Minute
coaching call with me…
Leave a comment with exactly how my blog has helped you to over come an obstacle and make more money.
Be very specific…
What were you struggling with?
What was the tip, tactic or strategy that you applied?
Exactly how much money did you make?
How long did it take?
The blog is great, but there’s nothing like one-on-one live mentoring.
After you leave your detailed comment, my assistant Ariel will contact you and set up your coaching call.
I can’t wait to read your success story!
Talk to ya soon

Hey Steve -
Your blog has helped me understand the importance of personality and charisma in training -
That grass roots marketing and free sessions can grow an amazing business -
That at the end of the day it comes down the dollars, so get off your ass and hustle – there are now f’ing excuses (can we curse here?)-
And best of all, I had a strange rash on my toe for the longest time, but once I started reading your blog that shit just completely dissapeared!
Thanks for everything man!
Talk soon bro – fuck the 6K – your input is priceless -

Hey Steve,
The best tip you’ve given me so far is the strategy for dominating Craigslist. I was struggling with finding new, ready-to-go leads without paying a fortune. I was also scammed on two separate occasions by “Lead Generators”. They just took the money and ran!
Thanks to your blog, I now have a solid rotation of 5-10 ads running on Craigslist every single day! The tip on special symbols really works – these are by far the most effective I’ve ever run! And get this… within 1 week this simple strategy produced a total of $6000 in training sessions and $1000 in recurring income (EFT)! If I don’t do anything else for my business that day, I always make sure to update Craigslist. A $6000 return on $0 investment – that’s crazy!

Steve,
The one tip that ultimately helped me become more successful was “having more energy”. This is something I had learned in the past, but struggled on making sure it wasn’t a “fake it to make it” environment.
Having more energy and projecting that onto my clients, friends, or anyone I interacted with required me to rememeber my “Why”. My “Why” on what was pushing me to stay in this field and helping people achieve their goals, but make them lasting goals.
My “Why” is my wife and family, and that’s what drives me everyday. So whenever I notice I’m lacking on energy, I simply remember why, and in seconds my energy is ridiculous.
There’s a saying, “It’s not what you do, it’s HOW you do it!” The HOW sets me apart.
So Thank You, Steve, for helping me remember all of the above. How you help people is contagious, and not to kiss ass, but you do it best, and that’s why I follow your blog.
Keep the great stuff coming everyday!
Thanks again!

Steve,
Your amazing information has opened my eyes up to realizing that I need to cut out all the bullshit information that has been holding me back. I’ve only been following you for a very short time…(just before FBS 09) but I can the light at the end of the tunnel for me now.
Before I was trying every known idea that was put out there by the so-called “gurus” but they only confused me and make me poorer. They weren’t working in the fitness industry anymore, they were just giving bad advice.
You’ve ‘been there – done that’ and you’re still doing it, and that makes a huge difference!
I can’t claim that I have made thousands of dollars from your material…YET. But I definitely can see how it has been helping me (in only a few short weeks) develop smart business decisions.
Your boot camp marketing tips and videos are fantastic.
I’d love to hear how I can get a 30 minute coaching call.
Thanks

This blog is so inspiring – the energy in all your posts and the personality that shines through motivates me to be more dynamic in my bootcamps!
On a more precise level, the Human Billboard thing ROCKS, as does moving to monthly billing, rather than the crazy notion of 4 or 6 weekly camps you have to resell!
All the tips are great. thanks!

Hey Steve,
Your’s and Chris’s has literally but the fire under my ass! No kidding. I know how laser like vision and I’m worrying less about where my next client will come from and worrying more about how am I gonna service the onslaught of new clients. Who knew? Apparently you did! Your blog has helped me in so many ways, but I think the number one thing that helped the most was to take ACTION and not to sweat the small stuff. The DO SOMETHING mentality is huge. I’ve learned to instill success habits in myself, and to think big picture about what I want in the long term. I pyramid all my goals and dreams backwards now with the precision of a surgeon. What do I want 5 years from now, 2 years from now, 1 day from now and everything that I do helps to create my big kahuna dreams.
Already, I’ve reached top page of google with several key words, I’ve niched to target my “ultimate” client and it’s WORKING!! I get at least two to three new consultation requests a day from 2 or 3 a month. I’ve created a 5 day email course through an autoresponder that has a following of about 150 people. I forgot to say that I created it two months ago!
You ARE the shizzol! I can’t thank you enough.
Thanks so much for

Hey, Steve. The #1 tip was about Social Proof, for us.
We had a long page of boring text testimonials. Because of your tips and what we learned at the Summit, we completely re-built our testimonials page – and got several new ones thanks to a couple of specific suggestions you had.
At your suggestion – We posted on Craigslist that we were looking for models to work with – we’d train them; they’d allow us to use some photos and tell us about their results. Well – we now have a TON of new clients – and some high-profile testimonials from fitness models, a Playboy model, and all the people they’ve referred to us – just because we gave them something valuable with no expectation. And THEIR testimonials are amazing.
We’re even sponsoring one of the models in an upcoming fitness competition.
Thanks for your help and assistance. We try to read every word you write, and have implemented a ton of the boot camp suggestions, too.

Steve,
I have gotten lot’s of Great informaiton and tips that have generated lot’s of cash from you and your site. However the one I’m gonna talk about here is your Human Billboard(HB)script.
I recently opened up my own studio about 8wks ago. Before that I was a manager at a large national fitness chain… Anyway, I couldn’t be happier that I left the Corporate B.S. world and started my own thing. I only wish I would have stumbled upon your information a couple years sooner. Guys like Bedros, Chris M, and YOU have helped me out soooooo Much…. Thank YOU.
Anyway, back to the “HB” tactic. Works just like you laid out. I made a list of people to call, used the “HB” script on them ( I have a crazy idea, not good at marketting…etc, etc) within 8days I had 20 people in my group program at $15/session or $195/month ongoing EFT. It’s now about 6wks later and those original 20 people have brought in 11 referrals that are paying $300/month EFT.
Hands down this is the fastest Client getting system I have ever used and it doesn’t cost a Dime. A Frickn’ Brilliant Idea. Can’t thank you enough for sharing it.
My goal is to make a 7figure studio. I am confident with all the information you put out, and with a take “massive action” attitude this will be accomplished.
Thanks again!

Steve,
It’s only been a month or so since I found out about you and I immediately sunk right into all your posts. I soaked everything up and immediately put into action as much as I could.
The biggest return so far that I’ve seen is by Craigslist ads and client referrals. Since this just got started for me within the past 2 months I want to do it right. I’ve been training for 12 years and
Just really getting my Boot Camp(aka Kettlebell Kamp) up and running on my own. Since using your methods I’ve doubled my clientele inside of a month by enforcing referrals. I’ve gotten about 3 from Craigslist and will be purchasing the plastic cards in July.
Thanks Steve- you are a Boot Camp marketing genius!

Steve, I’m not sure if this will qualify for your 60 minute call, but this is from the heart and the truth, so here it is…
Almost exactly 3 years ago now, my wife and I left Iraq (working as contractors) with just over $100K+ in our accounts. We came back, started an Adventure Boot Camp in Prescott, AZ, and the next thing you know, we had reached a low 6-figure income. We were “known” in the fitness industry, interviewed for Prograde, people would seek our advice at conferences, we would receive calls from other fitness pros starting out, and more. We were even invited to speak at one of the well-known annual fitness marketing conferences and told to get ready for the following year.
Then, in September of 2007, we made a big, fat, nasty, life-choking mistake (of course, we didn’t know that at the time). We purchased a 1-on-1 personal training studio in a place we didn’t exactly enjoy, across the country. So, we hired a manager for our AZ business, handed over the boot camps, and went to go get the studio going.
At the time, we were excited about it, because it was such a great deal. Rather than draw out the details, I will summarize with this: it was a 1-on-1 studio, which is not my passion, in an area without mountains, which IS my passion. I also made many, many STUPID marketing mistakes because I was told to use the franchise model of marketing. I ignored all the stuff that had worked in AZ… what an idiot.
Anyway, the short version is that we lost EVERYTHING by January 2009, finally selling our studio for a big fat loss. And for the record, I mean EVERYthing (well, I guess except for our car, what little furniture and clothes we had, etc.). Our home: gone. Our AZ business: it had lost its edge without us and dwindled to next to nothing.
Now, the end of June 2009, it has been 6 months since I have done ANYthing related to fitness, except for start my FitForJesus.com website. And I’ll admit: I’m shaken. I’m starting over in the worst financial position I’ve ever been in.
BUT… (and this is where YOU come in). I am a huge supporter of Bedros. He has been more than generous, and he has been the only one bold enough to tell me how much he believes in us, yet very kindly point out my weakness. So, he is one of the VERY few fitness pros that I have continued to read about and be involved with… which is how I met you.
Because of your marketing tips and techniques that don’t cost ANY money, because of your passion (the same passion that I once gave to my boot campers and seminar participants), and because you amazingly continue to provide unbelievably high quality information for free, I am finally in the process of starting another boot camp.
I am negotiating with 1 indoor facility and 1 outdoor facility for space. I am preparing the Craigslist ads and the Human Billboard program. I am condensing my former 60-minute workouts into 45 minute workouts. I am brainstorming themes for each week of camp. I am preparing the scripts and resources that I will use to systematize referrals. I have multiple domain names purchased. I am swiping copy left and right, rewriting and massaging it…
and finally, after 6 months of taking a deep, cleansing, and healing break, I’m getting ready to come out of hiding. And while I am a Christian and believe strongly in the power of Jesus Christ, I can say without a doubt that my motivational kick start and source of start-up knowledge and energy here on earth has been YOU.
So, from the bottom of my heart, whether I get a 60-minute phone consult or not, you DESERVE this story and testimonial. THANK you.
Sincerely,
Jeremy Nelms

As you already know dude, using your techniques I’ve started two of my own businesses, made thousands of dollars off of each of them, and maintained an A/B average in college.
One thing in particular I’ve learned from you is to OVER DELIVER EVERYTHING. I think it’s the care and attention I give to each of my clients that has them constantly hitting me and my girlfriend (who is also my business partner) up for more services. We give our best to every job we get, and are sure to make our clients feel that if they have any questions, comments, feedback, ANYTHING – it’s greatly appreciated. There have been some jobs we’ve done which were really under priced for the level and amount of work we did, but still, we made that client feel like they’d just paid us a million dollars.
I’m not sure how much I’ve made, but for the first time in my life, for the past month I’ve had a constant balance in my bank account of over 1k. I’ve been spending, going out to eat, and still I have 1k. That’s pretty frickin awesome. A year ago there were days I was living off of pasta and rice. Now, me and my girl are going on a cruise this summer.
See you in a couple days bro!
p.s. Is one-on-one live mentoring the same thing we always do when the lights go off?
Comment by David (the brother) — June 22, 2009 @ 10:21 am
Yeah it seems to me all your material has a touch of genius to it. You might keep mentioning how you had ADD, OCD, etc – but I remember reading the Project X manual in the parking lot outside of FBS09 and being totally blown away by the ideas in it.
Then when I was struggling with my Project X status & mental focus, I met you up in San Diego and you really put me back on track to being Alpha & Outside of any comfort zone.
Ever since then I gained 300% more momentum and I’m typing this after my morning bootcamp where I signed up ten (!) new people…..which were referred by a beauty salon…..which YOU taught me how to enter and work along with other businesses.
And even without all of the above…it’s obvious you recognize no failure if you call me while going poopie to talk about my salescopy.
Who else does THAT?

I found you blog about a month ago and always look forward to reading your emails.
The biggest single return is the Human Billboard program. I have doubled the number of campers in my Bootcamp who are starting to bring in the referrals. I can now start a new camp knowing that within 60 days I will have a hugely successful camp.
thanks

Dear Steve….. just kidding
Wud up my man! Dude you rock, one of the biggest things I love about you is how you give away information for FREE! I know everyone says that, but most give away a little information and then say “If you want to know how to actually apply this buy my course”. But you give away the whole enchilada and tell us exactly how to do it. Thats why I voted for you at FBS because you gave information away that I could use right then.
The top 3 things I’ve learned from you are priceless and I have no way of putting a dollar amount on them, but if I had to guess it would have to be at least $100,000. The reason I say this is because those 3 things are, MINDSET, ENERGY, and putting on a SHOW. Which are the building blocks of your fitness business.
MINDSET- This is killer, because unless you annihilate all self doubt, world doubt, and that “this business model wont work for me” attitude…then you’ll never make it in this industry.
ENERGY- So many trainers have no energy and it KILLS their business. I was guilty of this on days I had early morning clients, and you taught me to think about my long term goal; when I wake up in the morning NEVER think that I’m JUST going to train another client. (This goes with mindset as well).
SHOW- Putting on a show is sooo important. These people aren’t paying us for a workout, their paying us for hope, motivation, and entertainment. If you don’t put on a show and give them that entertainment, you’re not doing 1/3 of your job, and your client retention is going to be non-existent.
So there you have it, Top 3 killer things i’ve learned from your blog that will make me hundreds of thousands of dollars over and over again.
Thanks for everything man,
John Thompson

Hi Steve,
Where do I start?!? I have been following your blog post for about three months now, and I think you and Bedros have played a Hugh roll into taking me from a young jedi to Frickin Luke Sky-walker of my area! I have change my whole mind set from what you guys have shown me and it has taken me and my business to the next level.
Like for example, get alittle bit of money from a lot of people then a lot of money from a few. With me living in poor Toledo OH that was HUGH for me!! Your blog has kept me focused on what’s important. Another resource that had an awesome impact and followed up on some of your blog posts was “The Fitness Marketing Manifesto Online VIP Site”. That is some kick ass stuff!
I’m glad you and Bedros are willing to help people like me reach their full potential, and in doing so you have a die hard follower in Andy Whitson and Amp’d Fitness!
Thanks Bud,

Faith – Hope- A new Belief in Dreams…
What I REALLY Learned was, “WHY NOT? If this cat can do it, why can’t I?”
In 2001, I opened up my first fitness studio and did good. In 2003, I opened another location. I was/am an awesome trainer! But LOUSY in business and marketing. I was bringing in $125,000 with only me a part time employee who tried to steal my clients.
But I was paying out about $100k. I failed miserably. Almost lost my house, wife, dog…
I ended up getting a “real job” making about $40,000. Sitting in a cubicle one day with my tie on, I thought “What the frig’ am I doing here? Hell, I served and sacrificed my life in the Marine Corps and I’m not even taking the opportunity we all have in America!”
We have an 8 month old baby at home. Life if great. My new goal: Get my wife to quit her 6figure+ job and stay home with our baby.
I currently work about 9 hours a week as an In-home Personal Trainer and make over $50,000. (I watch the baby most days so time is limited- which is great because I learned to leverage time with HiTech trainer and Steve who “only works when he wants to” or “loves to work but doesn’t want to have to do anything”.
My boot camps were always great before they were even called boot camp! I met a client just the other day (haven’t seen her in about 6 years) and the first thing she says is “Remember those Saturday morning outdoor classes? They were a blast!”
My boot camps will be starting back soon. I am using the Human Billboard as my main marketing along with a few other tricks I picked up in the blogs, Manifesto, Twitter, Facebook.. The great thing about now is I am a blank slate! I’m not fixing mistakes!
I’m a Bedros, Chris, Steve junkie! There are times I literally shake and need to stand up when reading the blogs because I KNOW this ride is just going to keep getting better!
Thank you!

Hey Steve,
Your blog has helped my go from being only a 1 on 1 trainer to realizing that I am an idiot not having a bootcamp. Your 31 bootcamp marketing tactics are like a bible to me right now, I’m ordering the plastic gift cards, and using the human billboard technique to build my first camp. I can honestly say that you are one of the main driving forces for me doing this camp instead of being stuck in the 1 on 1 rut.
Also, things as little as a huge greeting when clients walk in the door and bringing the enthusiasm have made my sessions much better and I can guarantee have increased my referrals and income.

Steve, you are a certified bad ass when it comes to building your fitness business. All your tips deliver great value. There are so many I haven’t even applied most of them yet.
By far the one that has had the biggest impact on me was how to get rid of bad apples. This has dramatically improved my energy and and the energy of my other trainers.
I’m looking forward to using your craigslist tips to build my new boot camps.
Thanks for the real business advice

Steve-
Ever since I stumbled upon your blog via Chris McComb’s blog, I have learned a TON just from your free videos, posts, tips, etc. I am still a college student, but I work as a personal trainer/sports performance coach as well as my schooling, and I believe I am the only one at the facility (besides my boss) that can (or try to haha) write decent sales copy, promote events/products online, social network, etc etc etc.
Shit, I learned how to dominate craigslist by reading your interview with your brother David! I can’t thank you enough for that. That post alone is freakin GOLD. I made 4 ads (took me like 6-8 hours to figure out the HTML shizznit, convert it, post, edit, etc!) but with your tips and David’s personal help, I’ve made some decent looking ads! We’ve already gotten a few leads from our craigslist ads and my boss was very impressed that I was eager and am a constant learner.
Every time guys like you, Chris, Bedros, Zach Even Esh, Jim Labadie, etc send out e-mails it gets me JACKED up because I know I’m going to learn something NEW today. It gets me so fired up and know that I’m going to kill it when I graduate next year and venture out on my own to start my own biz! I’ve begun investing in my education (recently became certified youth fitness specialist through IYCA, soon to be NSCA-CPT this summer and CSCS next Spring) and career and so far I have no regrets! I know there’s going to be light at the end of this tunnel for me!
Thanks again for all the free info you guys give out; I sincerely value your time and effort.

Steve,
Your human billboard technique took my business from touch and go… to sustainable.
I was able to ad an additional $2,800 per month in recurring revenue.
But, there is so much more.
Your human billboard clause and walk away close are brilliant.
“As I help you achieve your goals, will you help me achieve mine?”
“Do we have a deal?”
Those little things are invaluable on a day to day basis.
Also,
* going A.P.E.
* bringing the energy
* greeting my clients with enthusiasm & sincerity
* treating each session as though it’s a performance
And, keeping my goals at front of mind.
Realizing that each new member and each new session is bringing me one step closer to achieving my ultimate goals.
All of these things put together have made me a force to be reckoned with.
Retention is up, referrals are up, and enthusiasm is up.
Thanks, Steve!

As a former competitive bodybuilder and business owner I thought I knew how to market my studio and what I needed to do. Ill be honest when I first got a hold of your blog and signed up, (as well as Bedros’ and McCombs’ blogs) I was very skeptical.
I thought here are some guys trying to sell me some get rich quick bullshit that only helps to pad their pockets.
I am a big man and I will admit I WAS WRONG. Not only has your blog motivated me to new levels, it has given me ammo to market and run my business successfuly. You have provided invaluable information time and time again. The methods you use, the tips, just everything is spot on.
Im not one to blow smoke up anyones ass. My clients can attest to that. I tell it the way it is. I dont even care if I get a one hour consult with you. It would be an honor, but the truth of the matter is this blog has provided me with everything I needed to take my business to the next level. The motivational excerpts have been a huge part of my latest success. For that I will always be grateful.
Keep up the great work!

Your brain is like a one man mastermind group. Your subconscious and conscious minds are in perfect harmony. What you think, say, and do are all in sync, it’s crazy!
This is what we all as entrepenuers strive for, overperformance, action-taking, keeping a steady mindsetbeing fit ( mentally, emotionally, spritually, and physically).
You have helped me take action! I used to let the fear control me and now I bring the fear along as a companion and keep him in my pocket to watch me KILL IT!
Your blog and insight is one of a kind!

Hey Steve
Where do I start?
You have been so inspiring it is beyond words.
About April time was the first time I saw you just prior to releasing the first of the bootcamp dominator videos but it was around May that I found your blog and started reading that most days along with kickbacklife.
First off, I love the energy and fun you bring to your videos when you are providing top class information but you can also tell you’re having so much fun with it. You really deserve all the success and happiness that you get because you can tell when someone is being very genuine and providing massive short cuts to taking action and getting results. You’ve been there and you’re sharing specific non-bs material.
For that I’m more than thankful because it’s given me such an opportunity.
Get yourself over to UK and I’ll take you on the town, get the other lads over and we can have a summit over here.
Seriously, when I get these bootcamps kicking ass I will be getting a plane over and knocking on your door to take you and the family out!
Anyway, what has helped specifically…
1 The detail your bring, you just lay it out there to follow.
2 The human billboard – That is where I am up to now and have about 25 – They are keen as to get started, not just with their own fitness but to also refer and the next camp is lined up for sure. I have been a little slow off the mark but just about there so you can consider I’ll be £2k better off next month (what’s that on dollars?)
3 The ads on craigslist – although UK has another version called gumtree that is more popular. I’ve got several HB from there and a lot of ready made leads as well that want to pay for a camp!
You’ve helped me overcome objections, by laying it straight out there I am overcoming procrastinating and I’m focused on something that can be very big instead of working on too many ideas.
As well as business specifc information, you’ve also supplied a fair bit of info on running camps themselves – the APE principle, the themes and that is also priceless.
It would have been easier to ask what I haven’t appreciated because the answer would have been very short.
Respect Steve!
PS All my best to Jeremy and family and reading your story I’m so glad things are on the up.

I went to the FBS09 and expected to get a couple of guys trying to sell me a bunch of different things, but got so much info free that I applied to my business the very first night! I made $5382 with just one tip alone, your human billboard marketing trick, but your improved version
So just that one trick helped me take myself and family to disney for my 21st birthday! Awesome bro! Dont know where id be without ya!

How the hell I am supposed to narrow your awesomeness down to just one single item is beyond me, but I am sure as hell going to try.
You are truly a one-in-a-million type person. You see, while the majority of people are trying to figure out what they can get out of life, you are consumed with what you can “give” out of life.
Never have i met anyone as passionate about helping people as you Mister Hochman, and if we adopt that one trait alone into our businesses, it will give us never-ending return.
You preach abundance vs. scarcity
Power vs. fear
Persistence vs. defeat
Passion vs. Complacency
Giving vs. Taking
Not only could we reach new heights in our businesses if we followed your lead in terms of how you view life, how you view opportunity, and how you see the light in every shitty situation, but if we simply implemented any of these values into our everyday lives, there is no limit to how incredible we could be.
It’s funny, because everytime I have one small negative little thought roaming freely in my mind, I honestly think “what would Steve tell me if i called him right now”. All of a sudden, my fear turns to power, my doubt turns to determination, and my limiting beliefs are no longer. I know you would just tell me to cut that thought out of my mind….now!
You have been a huge mentor and inspiration to me in my life and my business, and for that sir, I thank you
Shalom, peace, prosperity, and matzoh balls!

mate I get a lot of great tips off this blog and your vids on Chris’ site and the biggest tip to date has been the plastic cards one. (Finally found a place in Aus that does it) but your post today is the biggest tip of all.
You’ve written something that probably took you 5 mins to think of and write and now you have 25 at this count testimonials on how your stuff works.
Simple stuff but smart thinking.

Steve,
Thanks for all the amazing marketing tips – I studied marketing for 3 years at University for one of those yellow pieces of paper that people like to put in frames and hang it on their wall like the head of a moose or something (never quite got that one!), I have learnt 10x more effective tactics from reading your blog entrys. It just goes to show the benefits of thinking for yourself and not just continually following the crowd and the text books.
The main asset you have left me with is just pure confidence in myself. Believing in my own ideas and not being afraid to show my true personality through my business. Being completely comfortable in who I am and having faith that it will appeal to others and provide true value in their life.
As someone that has always struggled with the pushing part of sales I love reminding myself of the thought that I am actually doing people a dis-service by not telling them about and getting them to try my services.
Keep up the good work and good luck with your goals.

Steve,
The first time I heard of you was in the video you shot in Bedros’s kitchen. I was getting burned out training like 10hrs a day. I was maxed out with my own clients and had no more free time to take anyone else on.
Then I watched the video… You talked about how if you could make 70/hr training one on one why not train 4 on 1 charge them half as much and make double! it was the perfect solution to my problem!
I took imediate action. I told all my clients I was going to charge them half as much and give them twice the results in half the time! They loved it because it instantly raised the energy levels of the workouts. Training with other people creates natural competition and gets everyone to work harder. And they all got better results, plus I only had to work 5/hrs a day.
Your formula for making 100,000/yr in that video was to get 20 clients paying only $15/session and then get 10 at $35/session and it equaled $101,400/yr.
At the time I had 10 trainers paying me each $1,000 a month rent to train out of my studio. That only equaled $12,000 a year from each trainer. I was seriously getting ripped off! So I decided to get rid of the flat fee and start taking a percentage. At 50% using the calculation from above, I started making $50,700 from each trainer! It ended up cutting my training staff in half but I ended up making 5X more money!
And then it just evolved from there with Fit Body, and I had to get on board with that as well. I couldn’t resist.
Thanks for all the advice Steve. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for you.

Steve, since I discovered your blog two months ago and have been following your “Boot Camp domination series” I have doubled the number of recruits to my boot camp and I am expecting to be able to double the number again next month! I am now running a “Billboard Program,” a “referral contest” and using you super secret “gift cards.” I’m also running a JV with a loyal tanning salon as well as a local real estate agent based on your blog. Your tips have been AMAZING and I hope we will get to talk on the phone as well soon too. I will be implementing the 12 month contract (just as soon as you send it too). Thanks Steve.

Hi Steve, I only found out about your blog last week but right now I’m testing out your “human billboard” idea. I will let you know how it goes as soon as the launch ends. My first boot camp starts this coming Monday, June 29th. I don’t have any sign ups yet but I have about 17 unresponsive people in my mailing list. I’m hoping that they will respond after I send out a series of e-mails to get them excited about the human billboard.
I look forward to getting more marketing, success tips from you.
Keep up the great work!

Steve
I was running a boot camp and struggling with getting clients. I didn’t have a lot of money to market the boot camp, but after I took your advice on the Human Billboard my number of participants increased in a matter of days. I just posted the add last week Tuesday and I already have 10 people ready to get out and help me promote my boot camp. I haven’t seen any increase in my profits yet, but I’m sure things will change soon.
Your blog about having a boot camp theme was also very helpful. After applying a theme to my boot camps I immediately saw the energy and attitudes of everyone increase. Look forward to speaking with you.

Steve,
I am not even in the personal training business but I used a version of human billboard to increase my collections by 800% IN ONLY TWO WEEKS! I have been talking to 3 Dog and just LOVE the ENERGY at Next Level!
I love all the books you’ve recommended as well. I just finished T Harv Eckert’s Secret of the Millionaire Mind and he has a great quote “Observe your thoughts and embrace only the ones that are empowering to you”. I catch myself daily thinking disempoering thoughts and change them ASAP.
You are UNBELIEVABLE and I am inspired to have your level of energy. It is so true on your post about how to have unlimited energy. If you get up in the morning and focus on your BIG GOALS then WHATEVER you have to do is a means to that end. It immediately increases your energy because it reminds you of the reason you’re doing what you’re doing. I started that two days ago and can’t wait to go to the office. I get up at 4AM and don’t even care! I start visualizing and focusing on my goals and I swear it works! 800% increase in profits can’t be a fluke!
You are F&^%&#@ KILIIN’ IT!

I was struggling with having consistent clients that came month after month because I never set up any form of one time payment or auto-debit, etc. I was struggling with having a “booming” talk of the town camp.
It seemed like I had to pull teeth to get folks to workout. No matter what slogan I used people were acting lazy.
When the Fall of 2008 came I really bumped up the way I marketed and ran my camp.
I took your tips from energy, themes, make them feel special, pick up artist, what should go on a flyer/where your logo should go, etc
I just did all the little stuff to be honest. Whether u give 5 tips or 31 tips, they still help my camp out so much.
I was making a little bit over $6,000 a month.
Once I added another morning camp I was able to accomplish this in about 2 months! People were wondering how did I do it?!
I’ll be at the next convention you’re at and hopefully we’ll meet but not to sound like a big shot; thanks to you: I made every trainer at the gym I use to work at; look like they worked at the front desk!
They dont deserve to be training anyone! I had their clients leaving them and joining my camps! I dont care how many degrees or certifications someone has but if they are lacking the passion and energy and out of this world personality then they dont have shit!
So thats my story. Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank again,

Steve,
I’m struggling with member retention. A lot of clients are going away for vacations, staying home since their kids are out of school, and missing their workouts. If they cancel, I don’t get paid.
After watching your video on signing people up for 12-month contracts I was instantly motivated to start implementing this strategy. I think its a great idea, and with the deal they would be getting, how can they pass it up!
Thanks for the videos, they’re awesome!

Steve,
I don’t have any success story yet but I will soon. I am almost done with school and then I will use the tips and trick you write about to dominate. I think will call my plan BOOT CAMP DOMINATION.
Out of all the tips, explaining how important and showing how to bring energy and appreciation to your boot camp I believe are the most valuable ones that I have learned.
Thanks and keep it coming,
Shawn

Steve,
I am a struggling trainer and I am writing to your blog for help!! I am hopeful that even though I have not implemented your information yet you will allow me to have a coaching call.
I am running speed, quickness and agility training for athletes between the ages of 10 – 18. I’m in a rural area that has been hit pretty hard by the economy. Most of the kids I work with are getting ready to start football practice and I need to come up with something new QUICK or my business is dead!!! It looks like some aspects of your business model would work for my specific niche so I am excited about the fact that your info may be the missing piece that helps me create the business and lifestyle I have always dreamed of.
I am extremely interested in starting a bootcamp using a model that I can duplicate but I feel like I’m stuck in the mud. I don’t have any continuity to my kids program and making a living this way is not fun!!
I have seen your blogs and thanks for your fantastic information. Would you suggest that I find an indoor facility to begin bootcamp classes or use an outdoor public park? If using an indoor facility, what kind of rental deal do you typically negotiate with the owner?
Some of my questions are:
1. I am starting from the blocks, what do I need to do first?
2. How do you implement EFT?
3. How can I get a direct response web site that converts leads into customers on a limited budget?
4. How does one use Facebook or social media to turn warm leads into paying clients?
5. How many sign up options do you suggest?

Your insight is enlightening, your passion is contagious. Thanks brother, you’ve opened my eyes to a world of possibility through your blogs and your videos. I noticed your sold out right now in regards to opening new bootcamps- when’s that gonna be up and running again?
Cheers,

Steve, my biggest sticking point was knowing how to walk into a business and get the ball rolling. After seeing videos and hearing audio of you going through the process step by step and knowing to never go in cold but with a whats in it for them idea, i have made contact with over 35 local health & beauty businesses with 15km of my venue. I now have more contacts than i can almost keep up with. if i’m not signing up 2-3 new people a day and getting over 30-40 qualified leads a week then there must have been an earthquake and all the businesses fell down. I have employed a trainee PT just to come along while they are still studying to hang at the sign in table and deal with inquiries. I’ve gone from 45 members 6 months ago, 263 now. Here I was thinking I would be opening up 1 more venue whereas I’m about to open 4 more at the same time in a ’shock n awe’ tactic. I don’t pay for haircuts or massages or my girlfriend hasn’t paid for manicure or facials for like 4 months. I have calls from other businesses out of my local area asking to set up a venue just so they can get their hands on my clients. mate just having the confidence to believe what i’m doing and to know fro what you’ve said of how to be ‘real’ in how you deal with prospects is my most memorable lesson from you. If I ever have a child I’d probably name it after you, ‘BOOTCAMP DOMINATOR’ hahaha.
All the way from Brisbane australia, cheers mate.
Mate, now I want to be a 7 figure business owner, I’m hungry for more, what do you have next?

Your blog have halped me move from a “pretty” “clipboard totting” gym where getting clients were TOUGH due to our “boogie ways.” I’ve always been a “hardcore dirty gym” girl. So, I move to a gym I can believe in without the fancy look and feel this past week. Some clients left. Initially I was upset but its turning out to be a mental relief. Hope to stop just being a reader but a coaching client. Got 1/2 the money ready now…will push to get the rest ASAP. Love you Steve.

Yo Steve!!
Ok where to start.
I currently am working for a company and although it is depressing.
BUT now by reading the blogs, kickback life, pt power and yours I have implemented a few things into my being,
I have been taking ACTION in writing a blog entry every day to get myself into the successful state of mind and habits
Ive been recording blog entry video posts
I have half the blog already almost finished to be put on Live
I am working on a fool proof DYNAMITE rapid fat loos system to establish myself as the fitness authority.
Planned all from now til next april 2010 the bootcamp will launch, I have plotted everything I need to do DAY BY DAY on my calendar and NOT failing to do any of what I have commited to do.
I cant wait until you take out your in field video of how you sell your system and I am the crazy kind of guy, If I have a sure fire way to do things I will literally walk up to ANYBODY and say what It is I need to say in order to break myself free of fear.
Man Im getting pumped by typing this
Oh I have already eliminated most of my anxiety to speak to people by simply saying Hi to every random passerby this week, They thought I was crazy, I think Im one step closer to my dream
Hope to speak to you soon dude and keep it up with the good work! When My bootcamp is up and running, I will be coming to your house via first class plane ticket and treat you all out to the CRAZIEST 5 star resturant we can find, I swear shaking your hand Ill probrably collapse of excitement.
cheers!!

Hey Steve,
what can words say, as compared to energy yeah!
Since coming across yours and Bedros systems, i’ve learned more in the last 3 months then anytime before how to market smarter. There has been a ripple effect in my business that underlies the last 3 months of growth. I’ve been dealing with an ugly buy out situation that cost me $50-60k of business when my partner stole business from us and walked out. We took a hard hit the first month or two, but within one month of getting some of your stuff going, we have grown revenue, exceeded all three months of last years month to date, and have grown revenue each month by 12-15%. Your sytems have helped me inspire and train my team to be better at what they do, so the works doesn’r rest solely on my shoulders and we have come together better than ever before.
Thank you for the raw energy you put out and i’m looking forward to 2010 being the best year ever!
Let’s get it done!

Hey Steve,
To be honest anytime i feel like i’m having a bummer day man, i just log on to your site and start going through the blog for inspiration… it’s like anything i need to ask seems to just appear before my eyes, thanks heaps.
To begin with i was struggling with my mindset about whether i could really make a living because all of my friends and family were telling me that i was wasting my time and i was beggining to believe them until i began reading your blog… Then i figured out or your enlightenment reassured me that all i needed to do was believe in myself.. My belief was that i could start a bootcamp business by just getting out there and meeting people and training them for free which was what i was doing… Then i saw the tip of find 30 people to train for free, so i did and within 4 weeks i was sitting on 10,000 cash… so thanks steve….
I was just thinking we must have some sort of ESP thing going on here, because today’s new blog is about charity events.. and i’m just about to get one up and going to raise money for wilderness camps for ‘at risk’ young people.. because like you said don’t get out of bed for a client… get out of bed for your inspiration or your dream or passion and mine is i love helping young people reach their full potential..
until next time steve..
love your work
Cheers Laz
