Being A Personal Trainer At A Corporate Gym Sucks

Posted by stevehochman on Friday, April 24th, 2009

p28-1Why am I running head first into a brick wall?

It’s cuz I have a better chance at breaking through the wall, then earning six figures with personal training  at a corporate gym.

So then, why in the hell would a personal trainer purposely stay at a dead end corporate gym?

Well, there are two main reasons.

  1. That personal trainer doesn’t know how EASY it really is to work for yourself.
  2. A mediocre personal trainer who has NO PASSION for being a fitness professional, and just wants a “job” to pay the bills.

If you’re the second example and have no passion for fitness, then PLEASE, get out of the fitness industry now cuz Your giving us a bad rep!

However, if you want to have your VERY OWN FITNESS BIZ along with the income and respect that comes with it, then the “GREAT” Kaiser Serajuddin will show you how to… DUMP THE GYM!

Now hear it from the man himself…

  1. You know what’s so funny??? I learned a lot from working at a corporate fitness facility. I learned that life is more than just taking people’s money. I learned that it is okay to care about other people’s feelings. I learned that it is okay to ask for help. And I learned that if you ask the right people you will find the right answers. Thank you 24 hour fitness for teaching me the wrong and thank you STEVE HOCHMAN and FRIENDS for teaching me the right.

  2. Guys – Awesome interview once more.

I was really skeptic before quitting my gym job – but now being 5 months independent it’s just crazy how everything Kaiser says has come true so far.

Life is MUUCH better after speaking to MOSES..

  3. Thank you for amazing interview. I was always surprised how many trainers (and I know good trainers ) spending their life working for an ” Uncle” . side of the gym, you have freedom, you can do what you and charge how much you think your time cost.
